Holism and Unity of Energy Concepts
Energy is the basis of creation, and as per the
Big-Bang theory, everything came out of a
dense energy matrix which exploded into the
infinite space. Our forefathers also said “Purush
evedam sarvam, yada bhutam, yaccha bhaavyam”.
Energy in its subtlest form is the knowledge-power
complex, and they called it as ‘Purusha’ and this
encompasses everything in the present, past
and future.
There is only one energy in this world, and this can
project itself as a ‘Positive’ or attraction energy
(akarshana), or as a ‘Negative’, repulsion energy
(Vikarshana), and this energy continuously goes
into phases of activity and quiescence. These two
phases of energy are always together, apparently
opposing each other and yet complementary, and
as one is waxing, the other is waning. This nature
gives it a wave form. These two forces are always
alternate and continuous. These two phases can
also be called as ‘expansion’ or centrifugal energy,
and ‘contraction’ or centripetal energy. They are
the basis of all philosophy and all walks of life, in
Bharatiya and Chinese cultures—the two major
Eastern cultures. We in Bharat call them as ‘Rajas’
the outgoing, and ‘Tamas’ the contractive form
of energies, the balance of which is probably,
the ‘Satwa’ the potent energy. Chinese call them
as ‘Yang’ as the outgoing expansive energy, and
‘Yin’ as the contractive and attractive energy,
whereas the balanced potent energy is called as
‘Chi’. Modern science has recognised the same
as ‘Positron’ and ‘Electron’ as the positive and
negative energy—particle form, and ‘Neutron’ as
the balanced, potent, contracted form. ‘Proton’
is the positive contracted form of energy which
is neutron + positron. These connotations are in
the atomic particle science. In the energy sector,
‘Electromagnetic waves’ is the basic balanced
combination of the negative ‘Electricity’ and the
positive ‘Magnetism’.
We can summarise the modern science and
philosophy, with the following attributes of positive
and negative energies.
