younger”, “You deserve to have some fun in your life” and
“Your job is mostly done on the phone and e-mails and you
can do that job from anywhere. Let’s set up a home office for
you in Florida”. We shortened my hours per week and we
pledged to talk to each other on a weekly basis.
When Janet’s health started failing in the summer of 2003, I
wasn’t sure what my role would be. Finally I decided to
spend the summer months in Denver, renting an apartment
from a friend. I feel privileged to have been with her a great
deal during her last months. We reminisced often, I read her
cards and letters out loud to her and we would recall when
we had been with that person. We both loved hearing from
our students all over the country and world. We both loved
the work. So when she made her transition, I wasn’t sure
what my “next mission” was to be. One never can go back.
Cynthia was ready and willing to take up the challenge of
being the Program Director so I offered to be her “assistant”
for awhile. However, the Administration of Healing Touch
Program felt that this was not an appropriate title and so we
thought about it until we came up with “Director of Program
Integrity”. Basically, will the decisions we make be in integrity
with the Intention of the program? I thought “Wow, can I
do this?” So Cynthia and I plowed ahead, taking on one project
after another until it was time to return to Florida last
Christmas. My future was calling. The time to shift had come.
My resignation was the culmination of 10 years of service to
this program and to Janet. Now it is time for me to enjoy the
rewards of this labor which for me is teaching…it is my greatest
joy. Also, I love to travel and Jack also loves traveling with
me so we look forward to each new invitation and communication
as an opportunity to meet new people, share in the
wisdom of Healing Touch and see new places.

Advance Practice 1 & 2 courses are developed specifically to help you to master your Healing Touch skills and practice.
Who can take an Advance Practice class?
If you have taken Healing Touch Level 3 or above you can take an Advance Practice class. These classes are taught
independently of each other and AP 1 is not a prerequisite for AP 2.
