Early Childhood Education Intensive
One Year
Get the skills you need to start a rewarding career working with children. This activity-based program is taught using a
holistic approach in which the stages of a child’s developmental growth as well as cognitive skills and socio-emotional
development are emphasized. You will also gain the expertise and abilities necessary to operate an early childhood
centre. The program includes an outdoor environmental education component and a full-day kindergarten course.
The placement component of this program offers you hands-on, real-world experience.
Note: Graduates of any Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Arts program can complete this hands-on, intensive program in one year. Expand
your knowledge and skill-set working in real-world settings. A 210-hour field placement gives you a practical application for your training with the
possibility of securing permanent employment. This program is designed in collaboration with Nipissing University’s Faculty of Education.
