the pastor.
Prayer Requests can be made by calling the office or on the
website. Any requests received by noon on Tuesday will be in
the following weekend’s bulletin.
Mass Intention Requests can be made by calling the office.
Intentions can be for the souls of the deceased, the special needs
of the living, in thanksgiving for answered prayers or even in
remembrance of a special occasion. The suggested stipend for a
Mass is $5, but any amount can be offered.

Prayer Opportunities for You!
Eight people made the Consecration to Jesus through Mary
on the feast of Our Lady of Fatima. We have books to help
you learn more, and enthusiastic people who will share their
experience. Anyone interested in learning more can
approach Madonna Winner, Jean Moores, or Ann Kolb
about this ‘tool’ to grow closer to Jesus.
Rosary Walk—Please join us each Monday morning as we
pray the Rosary while walking the paths of Greenville’s St.
Mary’s Cemetery. We gather at the cemetery at 9:15 am and
would love to have you join us! Travel east on Russ Rd., left
on St. Rt. 121 about ½ mile. We meet after Mass, which is at
9 am on Memorial Day. We will not meet in the event of
inclement weather. For more information, call Ann at 548-

In the fall, we will re-present the Great Adventure Bible
Study. Some will join us for a review and others will
have the opportunity for those who want to learn for the
first time. We guarantee a much more thorough
understanding and appreciation of Scripture than you’ve ever
had in the past. Jeff Cavins is excellent in this series.
OUR NATIONAL 2ND FORTNIGHT FOR
FREEDOM beings June 21 through July 4, 2013. Our
parish is keeping the Church open until 6 pm daily. Many
are more aware now than ever, that we are in a religious
crisis. This year’s
Fortnight for Freedom emphasizes faith and marriage in a
particular way in the face of the potential Supreme Court
rulings during this time. Our prayers also emphasize the
need for conscience protection in light of the August 1, 2013
deadline for religious organizations to comply with the HHS
mandate, as well as religious freedom concerns in other
areas, such as immigration, adoption, and humanitarian

Come pray with us before the Blessed Sacrament during this
time of prayer in union with all Catholic Churches through
our great nation -- or join your prayers to ours wherever you
are! Prayers will be led periodically during the 4 – 6 p.m.
time that will be focused on religious freedom.

St. Mary’s School
School’s out for the summer!!! Mr. Rosenbeck will be in his
office at the school during the summer months. You can
call for an appointment if you need to meet with him.

Bingo! Bingo is played at Paws Bingo Hall (across from the
Dairy Queen) every Wednesday and Thursday. Early Bird
begins @ 6:30 PM and regular bingo @ 7 PM. The proceeds
from bingo benefit the Darke County Humane Society and
the children at St. Mary’s School through scholarships.
Volunteer Opportunities
ATTENTION TO ANYONE WHO
WORKS/VOLUNTEERS WITH CHILDREN:
The next VIRTUS (child protection) program at St. Mary’s is
scheduled for Saturday June 22 at 9am to 12 noon. This will
be your only chance to have a class so close to home.
Please pass this information on to volunteers and new
employees. All attendees must register online in order to
attend. Go to www.virtusonline.org and follow the
instructions to register for our course. It is listed under
St. Mary’s Greenville. You may go to any program (in any
parish) that suits your time and day, but you MUST register
online. Our parish has scheduled a session for June 22 at
9:00 am at the school. Call Ann Kolb at 548-1616 or Monica
Masso-Rivetti if you have problems or concerns regarding
registering.
PSR/ GLORY
**Be in prayer for our youth and adult volunteers who will
be attending the Steubenville Retreat, June 21-23. Please pray
for a safe and God inspired retreat for the kids. If you

Around the Area
St. Teresa church, 6925 US Rt. 36, Covington, is having a
first time one day only huge garage sale on Sat. June 22 from
8:30-4:00.
There will be office furniture, household furniture, clothes,
toys, etc. Too much to list. You name, we’ll likely have it.
Camp Bearable will be held July 12-14 at the Spiritual
Center of Maria Stein. This camp is for children 6-15 years
of age who have experienced the loss of a loved one. This
camp is free of charge to all children who need help dealing

Lehman Catholic High School has the immediate need for
host families for students from several foreign nations who
desire to attend the school next year. We currently have
both high school boys and girls who have made application
to attend Lehman from China, Spain and Viet Nam.
Students pay their own tuition, and have spending money.
You would need to provide a loving home.
Because of the paperwork involved, school administrators
need to know of your interest as soon as possible. If you
would like to host a foreign student in your home for the
coming school year, please contact either Principal Denise
Stauffer or President Mike Barhorst (937-498-1161 or 937-
773-8747) for more information. Lehman often has
inquiries from other countries. If there is a particular
country from which you would have an interest in hosting a
student, let us know.
Archdiocesan sponsored Lay Catholic Formation
Program: Since 1975, the Athenaeum Lay Pastoral Ministry
Program has helped ordinary Catholics accomplish
extraordinary things in the name of Christ. Come and see

held on the grounds of the “Shrine of the Holy Relics”,
home of the Sisters of the Precious Blood in Maria Stein,

Save the date for the annual men's and women's conferences
coming up this fall. The women's conference, "Women
Defending the Faith" will be held Sept. 21, while the men's
conference, "Men Defending the Faith" will be held on
Oct.26. Both conferences will be held at St. Charles

The Premarital Interpersonal Choices and Knowledge
(PICK) Program classes will be held at Life Ministries, 625
North County Road 25A, Troy, OH.
Presenters will provide the tools needed to discern a
partner’s compatibility along with keeping your relationship
in balance. The program centers around the Relationship
Attachment Model (R.A.M.) developed by Dr. John Van
Epp called: Know, Trust, Rely, Commit, Touch. The
program includes free course materials. Gift cards will be
awarded for attendance and breakfast, lunch, and supper will
be served. Childcare will be available upon request.
“Those who attend the workshop will have a unique
opportunity to establish a positive relationship before
choosing a commitment,” explained Rick Williams, CSS
Lead Therapist and coordinator of the workshop programs.
