Scout model. The compact, lightweight
FUR Scout PS32 provides
clear, crisp thermal imagery from
dawn to dusk and through the
dead of night. Its two-power magnification,
one-hand. operation features
only 4 buttons for full:control: power,
polarity, zoom, and LCD brightness.
Like all FUR thermal products, the
Scout PS32 creates images from heat,
not light, giving you a tactical advantage
out in the wild. While the PS32is
actually a thermal viewer, not a thermal
camera, you can navigate rough
terrain to scope out the "perfect spot"
at dusk, before dawn and even when

it's a thermal viewer, not
a thermal rifle scope. That changes
some things dramatically besides
just the weight. While a "camera" in
theory, the Scout does not, according
to FUR, capture images, either still or
video.·It operates on a Li-ion battery
" that, under"normal" use-whatever
that is, depending on the operatorlasts
five hours. As users of various
electronic devices know, Li-ion power
can differ widely and, just when you
think you have plenty of juice left,
your device shuts down.
To overcome the problem, simple
recharging at home is the convenient
answer. In the field, however, where
AC power is unavailable, we suggest
hooking the FUR
Scout up to Brunton's
Impel portable power
charger (www.brzmtongroup.com).
What this
pairing amounts to is
that the Impel, which
weighs a bit more than
2% pounds, has to be
charged in a 120v wall
outlet or via one of Brunton's
Solaris solar panels
