OUR PARISH STEWARDSHIP
Thank You For Your Generosity
2013 Catholic Ministries
Annual Appeal Pledge Report
WOW! We are at 109%
We have 652 donors
who have pledged $126,686.
This year, the theme of the Appeal is “The Lord
Sustains His People.” God constantly gives to us. His
grace is ever present. His blessings are abundant. We
can demonstrate our gratitude to God and help build
the kingdom of God in our own parish and our own
diocese by making a generous gift to the CMAA.
In addition to helping those in need, the Appeal
funds the operations of the diocese and services that
are of great help to the ministries here in our parish.
If you have already made your pledge
or contribution, thank you.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
ST. ANTHONY CONFERENCE
In the Gospel, Jesus tells the parable
about the rich man who selfishly stored
all his grain and goods only to die and not enjoy his
abundance anyway. What we struggle all our lives to
learn is that life does not consist of possessions nor our
perceived security, but of being possessed by God.
As you ready your gifts for the St. Vincent Food
Drive next weekend, to help the struggling poor,
ask for the grace to be truly “possessed by God”.
Calling All St. Anthony RCIA Graduates
We invite all men and women who went through the RCIA
program at St. Anthony to join us for a reunion with Father
Greg and the RCIA Team. We invite you and your families
to join us at the Annual Parish Picnic on Sunday, Aug. 25th
immediately following 11 a.m. Mass. The picnic is held on
the parish grounds outside the Padua Center. Come join us
for the Mass at 11 a.m. and then fellowship at the picnic.
This is a family-friendly event and a chance for us to catch
up on what’s been going on in your lives. Please RSVP to
Deacon Bill Boucek at 815-469-4088 to tell us how many
will attend with you. I look forward to hearing from you
and renew our bond of friendship that was formed through
the RCIA process — no matter what year you graduated.
