How we met:
The groom's mom was my teacher and
she introduced us.
The proposal:
We were all dressed in tacky Christmas
sweaters before a party, and he took
me to the elementary school we both
went to. We were playing on the playground
and then he went down the
slide. I went down the slide and once I
got to the bottom, he was on one knee.
Favorite detail:
Bride: The location. I couldn't imagine
a more beautiful place to marry Seth.
Groom: The bar and the great music.
Everyone was out on the dance floor.
Favorite moment:
Bride: Before the wedding, he was on
one side of the wall, and I was on the
other. We got to talk a little bit before
the wedding and this meant everything
to me. Groom: Our first dance
Biggest challenge:
Bride: Finding out about our wedding
planner not booking anything for us
a month before our wedding was a
huge challenge, but it was able to
work out, it just cost a lot more than
expected. Groom: Figuring out when
to start the wedding.
Funniest moment:
Bride: Definitely our father-daughter
dance! It was awesome! We rehearsed
and performed "I Loved Her First," then
switched to "It's Tricky," "I'm Too Sexy,"
"Greased Lightning," and "Sexy And
I Know It." It was a huge hit, and my
dad's dancing skills were hilarious.
Groom: Smashing the cake in Gracie's
face when she didn't expect it. She got
pretty mad because I almost got the
chocolate cake on her dress. Whoops.
Advice for future brides or grooms:
Bride: Plan it yourself! Take a lot of tissues,
and choose your bridal party
wisely. Make sure you have a good DJ,
and a good bar.
Groom: Don't have your
bachelor party the night before.
Why you got married:
Bride: I couldn't imagine my life without
Seth. Happiness is being married to your
best friend. Groom: She's the love of my
life. It means eternity together!
How to make your spouse happy:
Bride: Make him hot wings, let him have
his Xbox time, and let him buy stuff for
his truck. Groom: Rub her back, buy her
flowers, and tell her she's beautiful.
