STROYNOVATSIYA TO COMPLETE RAMP ON YAROSLAVL HIGHWAY<br />

Stroynovatsiya, part of the <strong>Summa</strong> <strong>Group</strong>, will be completing a newly constructed U-turn ramp on<br />

the M-8 Kholmogory Highway near Moscow. The M-8 Kholmogory Highway’s 16-20km section<br />

has been newly renovated in order to provide a turn around for traffic traveling from Moscow and<br />

neighbouring villages. The U-Turn ramp with all reduce traffic built up at the Korolev Junction.<br />

During the construction Stroynovatsiya,<br />

who was contracted for the renovations,<br />

included the installation of 4 pedestrian<br />

crossings with ramps. The 16-20km<br />

section spans over 3441 kilometers and<br />

has 6 highway traffic lanes with 3 lanes in<br />

each direction.<br />

After the renovations, the highway will have<br />

5 lanes in each direction as well as the<br />

inclusion of relief roads and speed change<br />

lanes and will be able to accommodate<br />

over 250 000 cars per day in both<br />

directions.<br />

STROYNOVATSIYA TO COMPLETE RAMP ON YAROSLAVL HIGHWAY<br />

There will be 6 new structures installed during the<br />

project, which will include 4 pedestrian crossings, 1 U-<br />

turn ramp and 1 interchange. Metal guardrails, noise<br />

screen and outdoor lighting over the entire road section<br />

will also be installed.<br />

Stroynovatsiya’s new U-Turn ramp is expected to become<br />

fully operational by June <strong>2015</strong>.<br />

FESCO LAUNCHES NEW YAKUTIA CONTAINER SERVICE<br />

<strong>Summa</strong> <strong>Group</strong> subsidiary, FESCO (Far East Shipping Company) has launched a new regular<br />

container service on the Russian Lena Shuttle to Yakutia route. The new service will allow for FESCO<br />

clients to optimize their logisitcs and reduce costs in doing so. This forms part of FESCO’s business<br />

strategy to expand its intermodal container transportation network. The FESCO Lena Shuttle will<br />

provide a door to door service with cargo being delivered to the client’s door. Shipments may be sent<br />

in either the carrier’s own container (COC) or shipper owned containers (SOC).<br />

Each leg of the trip will take more than a<br />

fortnight, with the time between Moscow and<br />

Berkakit taking between 15 and 17 days and the<br />

transit time between Berakit and Yakutsk<br />

between 21 and 23 days. Shipments from<br />

Vladivostok will be carried out once in 6 to 10<br />

days with the total transit time to Berkakit being<br />

6 to 8 days. Departing from Moscow, the Lena<br />

Shuttle will travel to Berkakit (Amur-Yakutsk<br />

railway, Neryungri district) on its way to Yakutsk,<br />

every 10 days.<br />
