Flexible shaft PST-T for <strong>in</strong>ner gr<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g<br />

of pipes<br />

These special flexible shafts do not have<br />

a handpiece for tool attachment and are<br />

particularly flexible at <strong>the</strong> front. The gr<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g<br />

tools POLISTAR TUBE are screwed directly onto<br />

<strong>the</strong> core of <strong>the</strong> flexible shaft (INOX version). This<br />

comb<strong>in</strong>ation is excellent for step-by-step f<strong>in</strong>ish<br />

gr<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g and clean<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>sides of pipes<br />

and pipe bends. Both ends of <strong>the</strong> pipe can be<br />

deburred from <strong>the</strong> same side.<br />

Flexible shaft motors with stepless speed<br />

regulation are recommended as drives.<br />

Recommendations for use:<br />

Before POLISTAR-TUBE is <strong>in</strong>serted <strong>in</strong>to <strong>the</strong> pipe<br />

with <strong>the</strong> shaft, <strong>the</strong> tool should be pre-formed<br />

and adapted to <strong>the</strong> pipe diameter.<br />

We recommend reduc<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> speed of <strong>the</strong><br />

POLISTAR-TUBE dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>sertion. Pipes with<br />

more than three pipe bends should be ground<br />

from both ends of <strong>the</strong> pipe if possible.<br />

When <strong>the</strong> tool flaps emerge from <strong>the</strong> pipe<br />

end, <strong>the</strong>y can be pulled back whilest still<br />

<strong>in</strong> rotation. The rear of <strong>the</strong> POLISTAR-TUBE<br />

deburrs <strong>the</strong> pipe end and also gr<strong>in</strong>ds <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>side<br />

of <strong>the</strong> pipe dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> backward movement.<br />
