Sam’s experience at home and as 18 year veteran of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives allows him to bring many issues to light.
19 Mike Smith Remembering the Reason, Renewing the Vision Join Mike Smith for an overview of the challenges, burdens, and benefits of homeschooling from a veteran homeschool father and leader. Addressing the potential homeschooler, the new homeschooler, the veteran homeschooler and all homeschoolers in between, Michael Smith outlines the success of homeschooling in academics and socialization, describes legal and legislative advances, and concludes that homeschoolers have earned the right to be left alone. How do we keep the Homeschool fire burnin’? Wanda Gibert, mother of six, will share ways to keep the God ordained unity and intimacy between husbands and wives. (This workshop is for women only.) The Mallys Peace Treaties in the Living Room Sarah, Stephen, and Grace Mally, authors of the book, Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends, will challenge families to seek God’s very best in their family relationships and “fight the GOOD fight” at home. Sharing personal examples and stories of how God has worked in their lives, the Mallys will cover topics such as how to overcome irritations and anger, how to have meaningful conversations, how to apply humility and mercy, and how to maintain a peaceful home. They will share practical ideas about how parents can impart these principles to their children at a young age. This talk is a sequel to the original brothers and sisters presentation and includes a chalk talk and harp music.
