to the amount of the bid.
All three tenders tentatively
accepted gave assurance of
complete delivery of the re­
quired materials within 30
days.
"Final acceptance of the
tenders cannot be made until
we have the advice of our
consulting engmeer," staled
stated Commission Chairman
A. V. FVaser. "However, in
view of the delivery dates
guaranteed by the three firms
now being favored it appears
the project should be completed
this summer. It can
still be delayed of course by
any unerpected development"

Opinion of the engineer on
the bids favored by the Commissioners
should be received
in the Village office by the
end of this week, after which
definite orders will be placed.
In addition to extension of
the water system to include
the Johnston sub-division,
provision has been made for
renewing of a considerable
portion of the old mater main
on the lower blocks of Reid
Street.
Work on the project will
likely get under way toward
the end of the month.
