Dr. Marilyn Keiser is Chancellor’s Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Music at The Jacobs School <strong>of</strong> Music, Indiana University, Bloomington<br />

where she taught courses in applied organ and sacred music for 25 years. As <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> most highly respected organ<br />

recitalists <strong>of</strong> today, she has presented programs throughout <strong>the</strong> United States and Europe including The Kennedy<br />

Center in Washington, D.C.; The American Ca<strong>the</strong>dral in Paris; and Royal Victoria Hall in Singapore. Her concert at St.<br />

<strong>Charles</strong> will include organ music by Bach, Handel, Vierne, Guilmant, Harris, Howells, and American composers, Dan<br />

Locklair, Craig Phillips, and Mark Jones.<br />

SCRIP NEWS<br />

School Closing Change:– As <strong>of</strong> February 11, St. <strong>Charles</strong> will<br />

no longer follow <strong>the</strong> Fort Wayne Community directive; Mr. Sordelet<br />

will now announce St. <strong>Charles</strong> independently. That means that if<br />

St. <strong>Charles</strong> has a 2-hour delay on a Friday, SCRIP sales will also<br />

be delayed 2 hours, taking place from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. If St.<br />

<strong>Charles</strong> closes, <strong>the</strong>re are no SCRIP sales. A 2-hour delay on a<br />

Monday means school orders will still be filled by <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

school day, if <strong>the</strong>re is a cancellation on a Monday, <strong>the</strong>re are no<br />

SCRIP sales.<br />

Reminder: We still have quite a few SCRIP Credit Statements<br />

that have not been picked up. You have earned <strong>the</strong> credit and <strong>the</strong><br />

right to decide how to use it. There are options besides tuition. If<br />

you purchased SCRIP any time from June-December, 2010 and<br />

have not picked up your statement, please pick up your statement<br />

today!<br />

understanding with <strong>the</strong> principles <strong>of</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> Social Teaching<br />

You may apply if your family has three or more students who<br />

attend or will be attending a <strong>Catholic</strong> elementary and/or high<br />

school in <strong>the</strong> Diocese (Kindergarten through Grade 12), and at<br />

least one parent is an active, contributing and registered<br />

parishioner, which will be verified by <strong>the</strong> parish by notification from<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> Schools Office. You must apply for tuition assistance<br />

at <strong>the</strong> local school level (following school procedure) and apply for<br />

Large Family Fund tuition assistance using FACTS Grant & Aid<br />

Assessment by May 1, 2011. No late applications will be<br />

accepted.<br />

traditional paper application which is available from Cece at <strong>the</strong><br />
