SCRIP NEWS<br />
Merchant News: Higher Ground is going through some<br />
transitions. This includes new ownership of the Maplecrest<br />
and IPFW locations. The new owner has agreed to continue<br />
to be part of the SCRIP program with a few changes. We will<br />
now carry a $10 card that has a 4% profit and it is only good<br />
at the Maplecrest and IPFW locations.<br />
* Has the extremely hot summer taken its toll on your<br />
landscaping? We currently have gift certificates for<br />
Henry’s Landscaping on hand ready for you to take<br />
advantage of their summer clearance sale.<br />
* The sudden closing of Vince’s causes us to remind you<br />
how important it is to use the gift certificates you<br />
purchase in a timely manner.<br />
Personal Information Updates: We are still finding a<br />
significant number of wrong phone contact information.<br />
Please be sure to include the most current phone number on<br />
each order form. Also, please advise us if you have a new<br />
address.<br />
VOLUNTEERS – Current schedules end in September and<br />
we will soon begin working on the schedules for 2012-2013.<br />
Please let us know if you wish to continue to volunteer. If you<br />
would like to join the SCRIP team, please talk with the SCRIP<br />
coordinators. There are different levels of commitment to fit<br />
everyone’s schedule.<br />

ATTENTION PARENTS AND ALTAR SERVERS<br />
The new altar server schedule will be coming out<br />
for the months of September thru October, 2012.<br />
If you will be gone or have sports events on a<br />
particular weekend and do not want to be<br />
scheduled, or want to be taken off the altar server<br />
list, please call Margaret Digan at the Parish Office, 482-2186. or<br />
email, stcparishoffice@yahoo.com (Subject: Altarserving). If you<br />
do not call and let me know you will be gone during this time, you<br />
will be scheduled during these months and then be responsible for<br />
getting a substitute. Deadline for calling is Fri., August 17. Look<br />
at your calendar and don’t forget to call.<br />
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION 2012-2013<br />
Registration Due Friday, August 24<br />
Can your child name the 7 sacraments? Does<br />
your child know facts about his/her favorite<br />
saint? Does your child know the 10<br />
Commandments and how they apply to life in<br />
2013? Does your child know how to look up<br />
stories in the Bible? By enrolling your public<br />
school or homeschooled child(ren) in Religious Education classes,<br />
you would be giving them the answers to those questions and<br />
many more!<br />
We are currently registering students for the 2012-2013 year.<br />
Classes are held each Monday night from 6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.<br />
Registration fees are minimal for the year; one child is $70; two<br />
children are $130; and three children are $190. Registration forms<br />
can be found on the table in the back of Church or online at http://<br />
stcharlesfortwayne.org/religious-education-forms.php. Simply<br />
return the form in the mail, Sunday collection basket, by email, or<br />
drop it off to the parish or school office. Give your child the gift of<br />
growing in the <strong>Catholic</strong> Faith. If we can answer any questions, or if<br />
you would like further information, please contact Amy or Lisa at<br />
484-7322, or by email at scbreligiouseducation@gmail.com. Be<br />
sure to get your registration forms in my August 24. Classes begin<br />
on Monday, September 10.<br />
