Anthony Barbir, President:
What I have accomplished:
• Attended National DLC and National Convention!
o Completed all District President duties, ran a successful Nominations Committee
as Noms Chair, and represented EK well for the Chapter Leadership Award
Presentation!
o Met Wava!!!
• Wrote two articles for The Marcato! (One of which was with my love counterpart
Candace!)
• Made Joint Council T‐Shirts with Candace!
• Began planning the Fall packet with Candace!
• Sent out e‐mail for Chapters interested in hosting DLC 2010 with Candace! (Please reply
by September 1 st !)
• Contacted all State Days host Chapters with Candace!
o To those Chapters: please respond if you haven’t yet done so!
• Spent luxurious amounts of time bonding and planning with Candace before and after
National Convention!
• Bonded with the entire Joint Council throughout Nationals!
Key Plans for the Future:
• Schedule TBS and Joint Council Meetings for the month of August
• Call all Chapter Presidents before Band Camp starts!
• Send out Fall packet in September
• Continue correspondence with my Focus Chapters! (Omicron and Theta Eta!!!)
• Start incessant reminders about Chapter Personnel Reports and DUES!
o Must be postmarked and sent by certified mail to National Headquarters by
September 30 th for semester schools and October 15 th for quarter schools!
What I need from my Sisters of the Western District:
• Keep an eye and ear out for exciting new programs and news from your District Council!
• Get caught up with all the National Convention happenings!
• Let us know what you want to see from us! Call us, e‐mail us, text us! We’re here for
you!
Vanessa Houseman, Vice President of Membership:
What I have accomplished:
• Attended National DLC and National Convention and had one of the best weeks of my
life!
• Continued work on Chapter Outreach packets
• Continued correspondence with Focus Chapters
• Wrote an article for The Marcato

• Make sure to bring back everything I learned at National Convention to the Western
District and to my chapter
• Continue research for packets
• Continue correspondence with Focus Chapters
• Survive the summer job!

What I have accomplished:
• Began working on creating new projects for the district
• Continued correspondence with Focus Chapters
• Attended national Convention and DLC and met Wava!!
• Finished an article for The Marcato
• Bonded with my counterpart and the rest of the district council
Key Plans for the Future:
• Continue research for new programs in the district
• Send out more info to my focus chapters
• Work with the KKPsi MAL to promote brotherhood and sisterhood
• Help out my chapter with band camp activities
What I need from my Sisters of the Western District:
• Ideas for programs you would like to see the district do
• Start thinking about award submissions for the DSA!!!

Ryan Carle, Secretary / Treasurer:
What I have accomplished:
• Participated in the National Intercollegiate Band, while slightly attending National DLC,
along with National Convention!
• Continued keeping in touch with my Focus Chapters, especially at National Convention!
• Wrote an article for The Marcato!
• Finally met my amazing counterpart, JP, in person, and worked together with National
Convention fundraising (WD T‐Shirts and Magnets) along with reviewing The Marcato!
• Met with Janet Tenpas, past TBS WD Sec/Treas, at National Convention to get some
more questions answered!
• Finished my summer job as a Camp Counselor!
Key Plans for the Future:
• Finish up National Convention Fundraising details!

• Contact all Chapter Treasurers in regards to Month of Fundraising vs. Semester of
Fundraising, Member Dues, and Fall Fundraising!
• Contact all Chapter Secretaries to get updated rosters for the Fall Semester/Quarter!
• Continue correspondence with my Focus Chapters – Zeta Xi and Eta Omega!
• Begin solidifying Sec/Treas Projects for the Fall, including a new adaptation to Trevor the
TBS Turtle!
• Begin working on updating the Fundraising Handbook!
• Work with my chapter, Alpha Chi, to start the semester off strong with band camp,
elections, and great times to come!
What I need from my Sisters of the Western District:
• Chapter Secretaries and Treasurers – please be on the look out for e‐mails over the next
couple of weeks, and respond as soon as possible!
• All of the WD – If you have any fundraising ideas that you would like to see the WD do,
e‐mail me!
• If you would like a “Support Music” Ribbon Magnet, WD T‐Shirt, TBS Beanie, or Picture
Frame, they are all still available! E‐mail me if you are interested!
• Contact your council with whatever you would like – to say hi, to get questions
answered, to give us suggestions on how to improve, to even tell a joke! WE ARE HERE
FOR YOU!!!
