Articulation (Transfer) Agreement between
Herzing University and Herzing College Campuses
Preamble. This constitutes an articulation agreement between Herzing University in the United
States with the four Herzing College campuses in Canada specifying the transfer of credit from
collegiate diploma programs at Herzing College campuses into associate degree programs at
Herzing University.
The Relationship Between the Institutions.
Common Heritage. Herzing University in the United States and the four Herzing College
campuses in Canada are each separate institutions of higher education that share a
common heritage of being founded by Henry and Suzanne Herzing and perpetuating their
culture through continuous ownership by the Herzing family. Herzing University was
founded in 1965 and the family acquired the first two Canadian campuses in 1968.
Herzing University in the United States. Herzing University is a diploma, associate’s,
bachelor’s and master’s degree granting university in the United States with physical
campuses in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Nebraska, Minnesota, Ohio
and Wisconsin and an online campus operating from Wisconsin. Herzing University is
accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central
Association. (The Higher Learning Commission can be contacted at (312) 263-0456 or at
http://www.ncahlc.org.) Herzing University’s accreditation in the United States does not
extend to the Herzing College campuses in Canada.
Herzing College Campuses in Canada. The Herzing College campuses in Canada offer
collegiate diploma programs approved by the ministries of education in the provinces of
Quebec (Montreal Campus), Ontario (Ottawa and Toronto Campuses) and Manitoba
(Winnipeg Campus). Additionally, the Herzing College campuses in Ottawa, Toronto and
Winnipeg are accredited by the Canadian Education & Training Accreditation Commission
(CETAC). (CETAC can be contacted at 506-459-4546 or at http://www.cetac.ca.)
Transfer Agreement. Herzing University and the Herzing College campuses do hereby agree
to allow students who graduate from diploma programs at the Herzing College campuses to
transfer into Herzing University associate degrees with award of block credit toward the
technical core courses in the associate degrees based on the clock hours completed in the
Herzing College program in an amount not to exceed 36 semester credit hours. If the amount of
block credit transferred is less than 36 semester credit hours, the student will be required to
complete additional core technical courses in the applicable discipline at Herzing University
following transfer to make up the difference. Additionally, all students transferring under this

agreement will be required to complete 24 semester credit hours of general education as
specified for the applicable program in the Herzing University Undergraduate Catalog.
Transfer Guide. The attached transfer guide provides the specific number of credits and the
applicable Herzing University associate degree in which the credit may be applied as of the date
of the execution of this agreement.
Applicability to Future Programs or Revisions. This agreement applies without update to
future diploma programs offered at the Herzing College campuses with the following provisos:
Award of credit will not exceed 36 semester credit hours applied to the technical core of
the applicable associate degree.
Award of credit for non-internship courses in the Herzing College diploma will be done
on the understanding that courses are a 50/50 mixture of lecture and hands-on/lab
based learning. Therefore, half the contact hours will be evaluated as one semester
credit hour awarded per 15 contact hours and the other half will be evaluated as one
semester credit hour awarded per 30 contact hours.
Award of credit for internship courses will be evaluated as one semester credit hour
awarded per each 45 contact hours.
