REGISTRATION NOTES
On the European scene, Denmark is now using a euroband on almost all of its plates. Having exhausted all
previous letters the new plates have reverted to the start of the alphabet, but only using the letters F, G and W as
a second letter as these were not previously issued. The order of issue is AF, AG, AW, BF, BG, BW, CF, etc. but
omitting FF, GG and WW. "Parrot" plates (black on yellow and white) for small commercial vehicles will use the
first letter F once the current G is exhausted.
Bosnia has introduced new plates which are, essentially, just a variation on the former 123-A-456 format. New
plates are now in A12-B-345 format. Only the letters A, E, J, K, M, O and T are used and there is no coding of
any sort. A new series has been introduced for taxis: TA, a hyphen and six numerals. Both types are in black on
white with a blue band at (upper) left with the letters BIH.
In the North West Territories of Canada new plates have been introduced, still using the polar bear shape which
was adopted in 1986. The plates now have SPECTACULAR at the top and NORTHWEST TERRITORIES at the
bottom with a graphic design on the ‘feet’ of the bear. They are still mostly blue on white.
