Thank you
I want to express my great appreciation of the
kindnesses shown to me by many people from York
Street this year.
From July to recently I have had 2 major operations
and have been hospitalised four times. There were
days when the only visitor I had in hospital was a
person from York Street and those same people
continued to visit me in my home and help me in
various ways. Other people from York Street did
many kind things for me and everyone kept me in
their prayers. Many times I would have been happy
to have just died and for many weeks I could not
pray.
I normally never miss a day to communicate with
God through our Lord Jesus. I knew he was
always with me during the tough times when I could
no longer pray at all. When one is very ill there
comes a time when the joys of this earth don’t
seem to be worth the intense misery of living. At
these times those of us who are fortunate enough
to be aware of God’s presence can always know
that if we recover, life can be good and if we do not
recover, we go straight into the arms of our God.
How fortunate we are!
I believe at this point that God has chosen to
restore me to health and I hope I can continue to
live a happy and useful life.
My thanks in particular are to Linda and Mark
Pearse, Heather Gordon, Betty Veal, Russell
Mitchell and to Tim and Blake who never stopped
praying for me.
