1. Planning ‐ Develop land use policies to alleviate potential hazard risks and impacts for future<br />

development.<br />

2. Mitigation – Strategically locate and plan infrastructure projects that take into consideration the<br />

impacts of natural hazards.<br />

3. Planning ‐ Strengthen emergency operations plans and procedures by increasing collaboration<br />

among public agencies, non‐profit organizations, business, and industry.<br />

working with private property owners to ensure that smoke alarms and fire extinguishers are<br />
