2014 Board of Directors<br />
Robert Miller<br />
Bob Miller currently serves as the CEO of AB Acquisition LLC (“Albertsons”), a North American<br />
grocery company comprised of 1,080 ACME, Albertsons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Star Market, and<br />
United Supermarket’s stores. Miller began his career at Albertson’s Inc., and over 30 years worked<br />
his way up from Store Manager to Executive Vice President of Retail Operations. He left to join<br />
Fred Meyer where he served as Chairman and CEO from 1991 – 1999, culminating in their merger<br />
with the Kroger Company, where he was appointed Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer<br />
following the transaction close. In December 1999, Miller was hired as Chairman and CEO of Rite<br />
Aid Corporation, the country’s third largest drugstore chain, where over the next three and a half<br />
years he led the successful turnaround of the nearly-bankrupt company. He continued to serve as<br />
Chairman of Rite Aid until June 2007 and a Director until 2011. Concurrently, Miller was Chairman<br />
of the Board of Wild Oats Markets based in Boulder, Colorado from December 2004 through 2006. In 2006, Miller<br />
returned to lead Albertson’s LLC as CEO following the divestiture of Albertson’s, Inc.’s assets. In 2013, the Company acquired<br />
877 stores from SUPERVALU, and later that year, added 51 stores from Lubbock-based United Supermarkets. In March 2014,<br />
AB Acquisition, backed by a Cerberus-led investor group, announced it would acquire all outstanding shares of Safeway. This<br />
acquisition, pending regulatory review and approval, will create the a diversified network that includes more than 2,400 grocery<br />
stores, 27 dedicated distribution facilities, 20 manufacturing assets, and more than 250,000 employees across the country.<br />
Miller currently serves on the Board of Directors of Albertson’s LLC, Nordstrom, Inc., Jim Pattison Group, U.S. Bakery, and<br />
Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts. A native of Louisville, Mississippi, he attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California<br />
and the Executive Management Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Bob is married with three sons.<br />
Joe Puishys<br />
Joe was named CEO and president of Apogee Enterprises, Inc., in August 2011. He has been a<br />
member of the board of directors since 2011 and is a member of the board’s Strategy and Enterprise<br />
Risk Committee. Apogee, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, provides distinctive value-added<br />
glass solutions for enclosing commercial buildings and framing art. With 32 years of experience in<br />
manufacturing businesses, direct industry experience and proven track record of success in leadership<br />
positions, Joe is focusing on leveraging Apogee’s existing and new energy-efficient products for new<br />
construction and renovation, improving margins through productivity enhancements, and growing<br />
the company domestically and internationally. Before joining Apogee, Joe served for three years as<br />
president of Honeywell’s Environmental and Combustion Controls division, a $3 billion business.<br />
Prior to that, he led Honeywell Building Solutions, a global leader in the installation and service of integrated building solutions.<br />
He also held leadership positions in companies that were eventually bought by Honeywell, including Bendix Friction Materials<br />
and Garrett Engine Boosting System, and served in numerous executive and financial positions across Honeywell’s businesses. Joe<br />
is on the board of directors for the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial and a member of the CEO Winsight Network. He received<br />
his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Bryant University and his master’s degree in business administration from<br />
Providence College. Joe and his wife of 33 years, Kathi, live in Huntington Beach, California. They have two children, Katelyn<br />
26, a professional equestrian, and Joseph III 24, an officer in the United States Navy.<br />
W. Anthony park<br />
A graduate of the University of Idaho with a B.A. in Political Science and a J.D. from the College of Law,<br />
W. Anthony Park is of counsel with the Boise law firm of Thomas, Williams & Park. Tony engaged in an<br />
active litigation practice in Idaho for many years and served as Idaho’s Attorney General from 1971-1975.<br />
Tony is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors for the Frank Church Institute at Boise<br />
State University. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association<br />
of Washington and Idaho and was State Chair for the Idaho Democratic Party from 1998 to 1999. He<br />
has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (1977-1982),<br />
Chairman of the Idaho Bicentennial Commission (1971-1977) and as President of the ACLU of Idaho<br />
(1996-1999.) Tony has three children, and he and his wife, Gail Chaloupka, are members of Crane Creek<br />
Country Club in Boise.<br />
