Saturday 9th October 2–3.30pm All Saints School Jazzy Books – Making Workshop Create a beautiful collage with Sandra Flitcroft, based on artist Henri Matisse’s Jazz book illustrations. We’ll use pre-painted paper to do what Matisse called ‘painting with scissors’ and add our own words. £4 Age 8–12. Children may attend unaccompanied. 201. Saturday 9th October 2–3pm All Saints School Spin a Rap! Workshop Poet and DJ Philip Charles has a head full of rhymes. Saturday 9th October 3.45pm All Saints School Draw your own Horrible Science Cartoons with Tony de Saulles Learn how to draw cartoons with Tony de Saulles, illustrator of the Horrible Science series by Nick Arnold. (There are over fifty titles, each one more gruesome than the last!) A joining-in event where everyone will be able to try drawing. £4 Age 7–11. 203. Saturday 9th October 5–6pm Ilkley Playhouse Wharfeside Twelve Wild Ducks: Multi Story Theatre Company Be careful what you wish for! That’s what the Queen discovers when she wishes for a daughter. For the moment her beautiful daughter is born, her sons are transformed into wild ducks … The fantastic Multi Story Theatre with a play that’s full to the brim with cliff-hanging moments, as the Princess sets off to rescue her brothers. £5 adults £4 children. How are humans related to a sponge? How much would a complete T-Rex skeleton cost? Where did the Himalayas come from? Sunday 10th October 2–4pm begins and ends at The Manor House All Ages Poetry Workshop: The Song of the River Join Poet in Residence, Antony Dunn, for a short family walk along the River Wharfe.
