private education company with its Head Office in Auckl<strong>and</strong>,<br />
New Zeal<strong>and</strong><br />
• <strong>ACG</strong> is the leading provider <strong>of</strong> private education in New<br />
Zeal<strong>and</strong>. It owns <strong>and</strong> manages 7 top private <strong>and</strong><br />
international schools in New Zeal<strong>and</strong>. <strong>ACG</strong> is also the<br />
majority owner <strong>of</strong> an international school in Jakarta<br />
• TCCL was established in 2005. It is a <strong>Vietnam</strong>ese private<br />
company with its Head Office in HCMC<br />
• TCCL provides business, legal <strong>and</strong> regulatory assistance to<br />
<strong>ACG</strong> <strong>Vietnam</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>AIS</strong><br />

• Members Council is the governing body <strong>of</strong> the school:<br />

• In deciding on a name we considered the following criteria:<br />
• Simple <strong>and</strong> easy to remember<br />
• Recognised internationally / global appeal<br />
• Already known in the market<br />
• Various names were considered including:<br />
• <strong>ACG</strong> <strong>Vietnam</strong><br />
• <strong>AIS</strong><br />
• <strong>ACG</strong> Australian International School<br />
• A completely new name<br />
• <strong>AIS</strong> was chosen as this name best fitted the criteria<br />

• Years 7 – 10 the Cambridge Secondary Programme focussing on the development<br />
<strong>of</strong> knowledge <strong>and</strong> skills in three key subject areas - English, Mathematics <strong>and</strong><br />
Science. Other subjects will follow the existing curriculum developed by <strong>AIS</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />
<strong>ACG</strong> <strong>Vietnam</strong>, ie Humanities, Languages, Arts <strong>and</strong> Physical Education<br />
• Year 11 IGCSE, a reputable international qualification with a rigorous set <strong>of</strong><br />
examinations used to prepare students for A Levels or IB Diploma<br />
• A large number <strong>of</strong> IB Diploma schools world-wide <strong>of</strong>fer the Cambridge IGCSE<br />
qualification as preparation for the IB Diploma<br />
