Yud-Tes <strong>Kislev</strong> 5744<br />
The Yom Tov of Yud-Tes <strong>Kislev</strong> has been celebrated in Lubavitch,<br />
for almost as long as the movement itself has been in existence.<br />
Throughout the generations, our Rabbeim conducted joyous<br />
Farbrengens on this day, offering thanks to Hashem for the miracle of<br />
the Alter Rebbe’s release and more importantly, for the outburst in the<br />
dissemination of Chassidus that came along with it.<br />
In fact, of the only occasion which all the Rabbeim universally,<br />
held Farbrengens is Yud-Tes <strong>Kislev</strong>. Then they would speak lengthy<br />
Sichos demanding of their Chassidim to strengthen their <strong>com</strong>mitment<br />
to the study and promulgation of Chassidus, and apply its teachings in<br />
their every-day life.<br />
This momentous day of the year, also served as an opportunity for<br />
Chassidim to express their feelings of great fortune, in having merited<br />
to be exposed to the ways of Chassidus and affected by its teachings,<br />
directed by our holy Rabbeim.<br />
Our generation was not to be an exception in this regard. From the<br />
earliest years of the Rebbe’s leadership, the annual Yud-Tes <strong>Kislev</strong><br />
Farbrengen was of the very joyous events, attended by many Chassidim<br />
and guests.<br />
The ensuing years’ bringing a technological revolution, enabled the<br />
Rebbe’s Farbrengens to be broadcast live, via satellite around the world,<br />
and enjoined by many more hundreds of thousands of viewers across<br />
the globe.<br />
Hence, in addition to the Rebbe’s message to Chassidim, the Yud-<br />
Tes <strong>Kislev</strong> Farbrengen also carried a missive directed to the broader<br />
world. The Rebbe addressed issues such as Sheva Mitzvos, the need to<br />
