Leben mit’n Rebben – Yud Tes Kislev 5744
beginning and end of the entire Shas, as well as various specific
Mesichtos.
[It is worthy of citation that, at the above mentioned live viewing
of the Farbrengen in Eretz Yisroel, was a prominent Rav who sat on the
editorial board of the famous “Talmudic Encyclopedia”.
Upon hearing the Rebbe’s comprehensive Hadran and bearing as a
firsthand witness to the Rebbe’s unmatched erudition in all areas of the
Torah, he expressed himself in awe: “Wow! If only the Rebbe’s
opponents who speak so freely against him, would hear this… Perhaps
if they were aware of what a Torah giant they are dealing with, they
wouldn’t have the audacity to take the position that they do”.]
At the conclusion of this Sicha, the cards were distributed and each
of the participants filled in their pledges. The Rebbe also filled out a
card, with a pen he borrowed from Rabbi E. Yalles of Philadelphia who
was seated nearby to him.
“ZE HAYOM”
Generally, the Ma’amorim of Yud-Tes Kislev begin with the
Possuk “Pada ve’Sholom”, based on the letter by the Alter Rebbe which
cites the Possuk in connection with his liberation. But this year was
surprisingly different; the Rebbe began the Ma’amor with the Possuk
“Ze ha’yom t’chilas ma’asecha”, which speaks of Rosh Hashonah! Later
on during the Farbrengen, the Rebbe explained this phenomenon. It
was because, he said, Yud-Tes Kislev fell out to be on a Friday, the day
that Adam Harishon was created whom the Possuk of Ze Hayom
speaks of, as explained in various places in Chassidus at length.
