<strong>US</strong> <strong>Open</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Surfing</strong> <strong>2011</strong><br />
The <strong>US</strong> <strong>Open</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Surfing</strong> is an action sports all-star week, music festival and fashion showdown all<br />
rolled into one. With over 500,000 fans descending on Huntington Beach, California, it is<br />
recognised as the world’s largest surfing contest and is sanctioned by the ASP. <strong>Surfing</strong> legends<br />
such as Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Mick Fanning, and 2010 <strong>US</strong> <strong>Open</strong> champion, Brett Simpson,<br />
are among those looking to win the prestigious event. The shores <strong>of</strong> California will also host the<br />
final stop <strong>of</strong> the Women’s World Tour as well as a Pro Junior Men and Women competition.<br />
The <strong>US</strong> <strong>Open</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Surfing</strong> will also feature the Converse Coastal Carnage skate contest and the Nike<br />
6.0 HB BMX Pro event. With the world’s best action sports super- stars on show, along with the<br />
nation’s top musical acts, the <strong>US</strong> <strong>Open</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Surfing</strong> <strong>2011</strong> remains one <strong>of</strong> the highlights <strong>of</strong> the<br />
summer.<br />
