The LIME Network and other Medical Deans projects may report to the IHEAG to highlight issues
of relevance that lie outside the scope of the projects themselves. For example, on the
implementation of specific research recommendations, examples of best practice and policy
suggestions. Medical Deans may also refer to the IHEAG for advice on significant matters.
The IHEAG is Co-chaired by a representative from Medical Deans and AIDA.

TERMS OF REFERENCE AND COMPOSITION
Terms of Reference
• Review the project with respect to strategic issues and outcomes having regard for its
objectives and deliverables.
• Advise the LIME Network Secretariat on its maintenance of key relationships with
stakeholder groups.
• Provide strategic advice to the LIME Network Secretariat on the development of its
national and international profile.
The Steering Committee meets twice per year.

The Committee is co-chaired by a Dean of Medicine and a LIME Network Member.

REFERENCE GROUP
TERMS OF REFERENCE AND COMPOSITION
Terms of Reference
The role of the LIME Network Reference Group is to develop, and support the implementation
of, strategic initiatives of the LIME Network. It also:
• Provides peer networking, professional development and support opportunities;
• Contributes to the LIME Network communication strategy;
• Engages with the development and implementation of specific program work through
sub-committee membership.
The Reference Group meets at least twice per year.
Composition
The Reference Group is made up of representatives from each medical school in Australia and
Aotearoa/New Zealand, nominated by the Dean. Where possible and appropriate, this
representative should be Indigenous.
A proxy should attend when the member is unavailable, and should be chosen with Indigenous
leadership and succession planning in mind.
