Marchesini Group, a world leader in the sector of automated machines for
packaging pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, will be at Cosmopack 2008 (Bologna 10
-13 April) – part of the Cosmoprof exhibition – in Hall 19 at Stand A41, as a guest of
Dumek, the Bologna-based company specialising in the design and construction of
process and conditioning machines for the cosmetics sector.
For years now in the cosmetics sector Marchesini Group has been making complete
lines – from filling to palletising – for packaging various types of cosmetics, for
example tubes, jars, sachets, bottles, mascara and other products. The Group also
makes state-of-the-art machines for packaging products such as nail varnish, lip
gloss, compact powder, perfumes and soaps, both wrapped and unwrapped, not
forgetting the latest-concept solutions for complex packaging typical of the cosmetics
sector. Innovative solutions, designed and set up in such a way that they are
customised for top level customers such as the L’Oréal Group, Givenchy, Dior
Parfum, Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, Procter&Gamble, Pierre Fabre, Estée Lauder.
Marchesini will exhibit its own MA50 cartoner, a highly flexible machine for packaging
various types of cosmetics. This balcony-structure intermittent-motion cartoner is
ideal for packing in cartons all products normally on the pharmaceutical and
cosmetics market, such as blister, bottles, rigid and squeezable tubes, sachets and
trays.
The machine – made with a balcony structure – is completely mechanical and
guarantees constant, safe operation with the passage of time, whilst the use of drive
parts in an oil bath minimises maintenance. The possibility of collecting different
rejects (product, carton, leaflet) in separate containers is very important, since it
allows improved recognition and control of the rejected item and easier safe handling
of rejects. The MA50 is equipped to handle large cartons (with dimension A up to 170
mm) and can operate at a rate of 60 cartons/minute. From the same range, the
