I spent six yearsat McGill University in Canada between January 1978 and December1983 where I studied for my Masters and doctorate degrees. InJanuary 1984 I returned to my teaching post at then Faculty ofAgriculture of the University of Dar es Salaam which later in that sameyear became the self–standing University known to date as theSokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). While at SUA I rose throughthe ranks to the post of Associate Professor in 1994. This recognitionwas a result of contributions we made with colleagues in theRe-union of Class of 1976Page 21
