Required Mobile Home InspectionOnly One Inspection is Done for Mobile HomesBuilding Division Green Cove Springs 284-6307P.O. Box 1366 Orange Park 269-6307Ggreen Cove Springs Keystone Heights 473-3711Florida 32043 Kingsley Lake 533-2111Do Not Call For Mobile Home Inspection Unless:1. Solid Waste Assessment Fee for applicant’s lot must be paid by or on the day of final inspectionrequest. If paid on the day request for a final inspection is made; payment must be receivedbefore 3:00 p.m. so the inspection can go out the next working day. (If this was paid onproperty taxes we will need a copy of the tax bill showing payment was already made.)2. Mobile Home is in place, tied down and blocked properly.3. Plumbing connections are complete to the well and septic tank with new trenches leftuncovered. (Well pump does not have to be set, but lines must be run..)4. Electric service is properly installed and connected to the mobile home by licensed electricianand trenches are left uncovered.5. Prior to locating mobile home on lot, WATCH FOR OVERHEAD POWER LINES. Do notlocate mobile home within ten (10) feet of an existing power line. If problems exist withoverhead lines please contact the power company.6. Someone must be home for the final inspection since the inspector has to go inside all mobilehomes.7. Call for inspection the day before the applicant wants an inspection, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00p.m. (No inspections will be taken after 3:00).8. If Applicant needs to know approximately what time the inspection is to be done you will needto call the inspector between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 8:30 A.M., on the day the inspectionis to be done. The lines are very busy at this time so you need to be persistent.9. Request for final will not be accepted without the move on permit number.10. Calls for inspection before these items are complete may subject you to a $35.00 re-inspectionfee.11. Skirting of the mobile home is required by ordinance. It must be in place within 30 days afterfinal inspection is done or power may be terminated.12. You may want to call engineering to make sure your driveway permit has a final.
