ShellyFerris has been teaching in Andale, Kansas fortwo years and is expecting her first baby inApril. Brandi Branson might look familiar toyou. She student taught in fourth grade atDodge last year. She has been a para at CurtisMiddle School and is excited to be here. AlisonLebeda is fourth grade’s team lead and hasbeen at Dodge for almost 100 years. (Doesanyone read this stuff?!?) Amanda Fifield isfrom Overland Park and graduated fromPittsburg State. Thistrophy will travel all during the schoolyear and different incentives will comealong with it! In addition to the trophy,a special award will be given to the gradelevel that has the highest attendance forthe month. The October winner will bedetermined this Friday! So come onpanthers! When thinking of a caption for this article, all we could think of was WOW. We had one of our mostsuccessful Book Fairs EVER. Thank you to all the students, parents, staff and volunteers whocontributed. The money raised will go towards new books for the library.We know you haven’t been able to sleep at night, asking yourself the same question over and over!“Just how many bouncy balls were in that container??” Well - we had a three way tie for the correctanswer! Hayden Henricks, Aniyah Robinson and Allana Nobles all guessed the exact # - 196 balls!We had many kids that were extremely close to the right answer, but those three nailed it! Theywon bouncy balls, a book and a poster. Way to go!Our next winners were drawn from students who had earned “got caught reading” tickets in thelibrary for the past month. The four names drawn were Olivia Bryant, Ryleigh Lopez, Monique Beverand Ethan Baird. Fifteen students won their choice of a book or a poster. They were RaulHernandez, Matthew Altgilbers, Lyvi Hoffman, Annabelle Muse, Jaiden Solis, Nate Foster, CheyenneKohlhagen, Christopher Reyes, Jocelyn Scaia, Laticia Yumang, Luis Ramirez, Tyanna Davis, ErikaOrtiz, Jose Ramirez and Travis Moore. Congratulations to all of you!Last, but certainly not least, we want to thank the parents for buying over 100 books for our staff.The teachers were thrilled to receive books to share in their classrooms. Your generosity isoverwhelming!POPCORN ANDTURKEYS?!?Who knew this would be such a great combination?We will be collecting money for popcorn onMonday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.Bags of popcorn are 25 cents each. Popcorn willbe distributed on Friday, November 9th. Proceedsfrom this event will go towards buying turkeys forthe district’s turkey drive! Send your quartersbeginning Monday! Wehad fifteen students that sold 25 or more items for ourfundraiser. Therefore, on November 9th, they will bewhisked away to lunch in STYLE. A limousine will arrive anddrive them to a highly-acclaimed, five star restaurant, known as McDonald’s. Once there, they will feast on goldenpotatoes and morsels of chicken served with elegant dipping sauces. They may even partake of a sinfully delectabledessert.
