Falcon Watch Remote Surveillance. All Day, All Night.Harris knows the need forreliable surveillance systems.Throughout the world, military and homeland security forcesface an increasing need to provide safety and security to troopsand high-value assets. The Harris Falcon Watch unattendedground sensors and imager are a force-multiplier solution witha network of easily deployed, remotely located products thatdetect the movement of personnel and vehicles. The Harris RF-5400 Falcon Watch Remote Surveillance Systemis fully integrated with FALCON ® II radios and are ideal formonitoring high-value assets such as troop encampments, airfields, base installations, supply routes, and depots. In largernetworks, the Falcon Watch Sensor Systems can also be usedto monitor and protect national borders, regional boundaries, and assets in homeland defense and peacekeeping operations. The Falcon Watch wireless sensors are remote, battery-operatedproducts that provide operators with critical surveillance dataon a 24-hour basis. While most sensors and imagers have abattery life insufficient for remote emplacement, the FalconWatch System's power-efficient architecture extends batterylife. The Falcon Watch Remote Surveillance System is designedto minimize false alarms by filtering out naturally occurringphenomena, resulting in only valid intrusion events communicatedto the command center and operators in the field. We’ve integrated our sensorswith Falcon ® II radios. The RF-5400 family of Sensor System products has beendeveloped to operate seamlessly with the Harris FALCON IIfamily of tactical radios. Alarm data from the RF-5400 sensorsis communicated directly to each of the FALCON II multibandor VHF handheld radios in the network. The soldier is alertedto a sensor event via audible message or on-screen display.Other tactical and land mobile radios can also act as sensormonitors, reducing the equipment required. Larger-scale sensorsystems also have the option of displaying the sensor eventdata on the RF-6910 FALCON II Situational Awareness system(C2PC-CNR), FBCB2, or other applications, through the RF-5410Sensor Management Application, thereby integrating the sensordata for complete situational awareness.

The datafrom multiple detectors, when used together(with RF-5400VH-MS and RF-5400V-SR sensors)can be fused at the sensor to minimize falsealarms.SensorsRF-5400VH-SS Mini-SensorHigh-band VHF transmitter sends voice and/ordata alarm from one detector (seismic, magnetic,or passive IR) in the smallest form factor to VHFreceivers.RF-5400VH-MS Multi-SensorHigh-band VHF transmitter sends combinedand qualified reports from up to threedetectors (seismic, magnetic, and passive IR).RF-5400VH-AS Acoustic SensorHigh-band VHF transmitter sends acousticarray information such as vehicle or aircrafttype and bearing. Sectoring reduces falsealarms from ambient noise sources.RF-5400V-SR FALCON ® II Sensor/RelayLow-band VHF transceiver sends combinedand qualified reports from up to fourdetectors (seismic, magnetic, and passive IR).The sensor configuration can be changedafter deployment. Encrypted communicationsprovide security against spoofing andeavesdropping. The same unit can beconfigured as a relay.RF-5400VH-RU RelayHigh-band VHF transceiver with independenttransmit and receive frequencies. The relay worksin conjunction with Falcon Watch mini-sensor ormulti-sensor nodes to extend reach-back to commandcenter.RF-5405VH-GW Intelligent GatewayThe Harris Falcon Watch Intelligent Gatewayprovides wireless long-haul connectivity betweenforward-deployed Falcon Watch sensors andimagers and backend command and control(C2) centers using the Iridium Satellite constellation. The Intelligent Gateway integrates informationreceived from tripped alarms and interpretsthem to provide an accurate view of the region. This accurate intelligence leads to more precisereaction.MonitorsFALCON II Handheld RadiosThe Falcon Watch family of sensor products isintegrated into the FALCON II family of tacticalradios to monitor the detected intrusion eventvia audible alerts or on-screen data messages.RF-5410 Sensor Management ApplicationThe Harris Falcon Watch Sensor ManagementApplication software provides display of sensoralarms and imagery reported from FalconWatch Sensors, as well as reconfigurationof these sensors after deployment. The SensorManagement Application can pass thisinformation to situational awareness applications, such as the RF-6910 FALCON II SituationalAwareness Application (C2PC-CNR).ImagersRF-5408 Remote ImagerThe Falcon Watch RF-5408 Remote Imagerprovides an all-weather remote imagingcapability to aid in classifying intrusionsthat is effective 24 hours a day, by utilizingboth a Low Light Level (LLL) visible imagerand an Infra-Red (IR) imager.

Force ProtectionEarly warning at stand-off distances.Falcon Watch sensors are easily and rapidly deployable, allowing for unattended protection and early warningof intrusion for teams in the field. Vigilant around theclock, the sensor nodes are deployed at choke points orspecific areas of interest, such as fields, forested areas, roadways, streams, and mountain passes.SquadEncampment“Sensor 8 Vehicle”Voice Alerts

Remote MonitoringReliable and persistant. Your eyes and ears on the ground. The Falcon Watch sensor and imager products are fully scalableto create a wide area, unattended, long-life monitoring solution forremote areas such as a border, pipeline, or airstrip. Each sensor canbe custom-equipped with the proper detector for the type of threat(personnel or vehicle), and the sensors are networked via RF relaysor SATCOM long-haul gateways. Data and location of sensor eventsalong with images for event classification are transmitted to commandheadquarters in real-time for responsive action.CommandHeadquatersRemote Image Capture
