We participated in financing a 24 megawatt wind park<br />
project in Kisielice, central Poland. The consortium<br />
consists of three banks: Spanish La Caixa, Polish<br />
BreBank and Erste Group. The wind park consists of<br />
twelve installations of E-82 Enercon two megawatt<br />
turbines.<br />

WIND PARK<br />
TULCEA, ROMANIA<br />
Erste Group has arranged financing for a 42 megawatt<br />
wind park project in Tulcea, Romania. This is<br />
indeed a milestone renewable energy project and<br />
could advance Romania to becoming a regional<br />
leader in the energy sector, particularly in renewable<br />
energy. The project consists of 20 wind turbines.<br />

ALTERNATIvE ENERGY<br />
Erste Group is acting as Mandated Lead Arranger<br />
and Debt Coordinator in a programme loan project<br />
financing of a 17.6 megawatt photovoltaic project<br />
pipeline in the Czech Republic. The debtor is a SPV<br />
of Energy 21, the leading solar energy producer in the<br />
Czech Republic. The loans are provided together with<br />
BNP Paribas Fortis, whereby Erste Group’s commitment<br />
is up to 57% of the transaction.<br />

Generation Company), a joint venture of Sabanci<br />
Holding S.A. and Verbund Österreichische Elektrizitätswirtschafts-Aktiengesellschaft<br />
A.S.<br />
The project comprises ten hydroelectric power plants<br />
and a natural gas-fired thermal plant in Bandirma,<br />
with a total capacity of 1,900 megawatts and will<br />
supply the country’s deregulated power market.<br />
The financing package is the largest international<br />
transaction for a private company in Turkey.<br />
