Stage Descriptions forStage 8 Cedar I DescriptionSpectator AreaStartFinishThe stage starts with a slight uphill on afirm clay road surface as it winds up CedarMountain Rd. The road becomes more rockywith a couple shale covered turn s to keepthe teams on their toes on the climb to thehilltop. The turns tighten as you approachthe hilltop and a left at sideroad that is18not visible until very near the turn. Thespectator area is at an acute left as you areforced around hay bales to make the turnmore challenging and entertaining to thespectators. The stage then has several longstraights and nice turns as you make yourway across the hilltop.The stage is 8.03 miles long.There are no records for this stage.
Stage Descriptions forStages 9 and 12 Lebo DescriptionSpectator AreaStartFinishThe stage begins on a narrow twistyroad with a smooth fine loose stonesurface over a flat terrain. There areseveral bumps (yumps) in the roadthrough this section. At the hairpin theroad is extra narrow, starts to climb andthe surface becomes clay, slippery ifwet, with ruts possible as it approachesStage Recordsthe spectator area. A Right at crossroadat the spectator area, puts the courseonto Twelve Mile, which is a wide claysurface, that can be rutted and slipperyif wet.
