Please allow 2-3 weeks processingtime. Students should keep this in mind when needingtranscripts to be sent by a specific deadline date. Makesure that all required documents (i.e., counselor recommendationform) are completed prior to making your request.All documents will be mailed at one time. Work PermitsThe Department of Labor requires a work permit for all persons under the age of16. The first step is for the minor to obtain a letter of intent from the prospectiveemployer stating his or her name, the job and its description, signed by a manager.Then that letter, the minor’s birth certificate issued from the county of birth andsocial security card must be brought to the Main Office by the parent or legalguardian. Students may not submit these materials themselves. Students under theage of 16 who wish to work are restricted in the number of hours they can be atwork each day and week. There are also many restrictions for minors on the typesof businesses they are allowed to work in and the types of jobs they may be employedto do. Hazardous jobs utilizing chemicals or power equipment are amongthose that are unacceptable.iLearn Night <strong>School</strong> ProgramThe iLearn Night <strong>School</strong> Program is designed to meet the needs of a variety ofstudents including students with life events necessitating an alternative scheduleor students in need of learning opportunities in addition to their regular school day(this includes credit recovery and credit acceleration). A full range of classes areavailable to students in this program. Instruction is computer-based and individualizedto each student.
