COMPETITORS CIRCUIT/PADDOCK ACCESS &ALLOCATIONIT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU FOLLOW<strong>INSTRUCTIONS</strong> REGARDING PARKING WITHIN THEPADDOCK AREAS. MSVR REQUEST THATTRAILERS AND ROAD VEHICLES ARE PARKEDSENSIBLY. PLEASE SEE ENCLOSED<strong>INSTRUCTIONS</strong>.Paddock access will be from 18:00 on Sunday May 1 stunless booked in for testing.Please vacate the paddock <strong>by</strong> 21:00 on Monday 2 ndMay.Pit Garages are reserved for GT Trophy competitors.4. SIGNING ON FOR COMPETITORSAll competitors will sign on at the times and locationsallocated on the event timetable.At signing on all drivers must provide a) Drivers andEntrants MSA Competition Licence. b) Drivers MedicalCertificate (if not incorporated in the Licence). c) ValidClub Membership (where applicable).5. SIGNING ON FOR SENIOR OFFICIALSWill be in Race Admin<strong>is</strong>tration.6. NOTICE BOARDThe Official Notice Board will be located at RaceAdmin<strong>is</strong>tration.7. TIMING SCREENThe Official Timing Screen will be the Starters timingscreen in the Pit Lane.8. SCRUTINEERINGAll vehicles will be examined at the times & locationsgiven on the event timetable. Note that ONLY GTTrophy & F3 Cup cars will be scrutineered in situ. Allother cars must go to the scrutineering bay.9. ELIGIBILITYEligibility may be checked <strong>by</strong> a member of the MSATechnical Comm<strong>is</strong>sion l<strong>is</strong>ted in the 2011 MSA Yearbookat Appendix 4(e). These Technical Comm<strong>is</strong>sioners willbe considered as Judges of Fact within theRegulations.The Championship/Series licensed Eligibility Scrutineersare also considered Judges of Fact and empowered toundertake any measurements or examinationsof vehicles.10. DRIVERS RACING FOR THE FIRST TIME ATSNETTERTONCompetitors must read an instruction sheet that can becollected from Race Admin<strong>is</strong>tration prior to theirqualifying sessions.11. DRIVERS BRIEFINGSSchedule (if applicable) <strong>is</strong> given in the timetable.The organ<strong>is</strong>ers reserve the right to call extra briefings asappropriate.


Attendance at any drivers briefing <strong>is</strong> mandatory.12. ENGINE / NOISE POLLUTI<strong>ONE</strong>ngines must not be run before 0830 hours OR after1830 hours.13. PIT LANEPlease note that there <strong>is</strong> a mandatory speed limit in thePit Lane of 60 km/h.The Penalty Box <strong>is</strong> in the Pit Lane adjacent to RaceControl.14. QUALIFYINGAll cars will start qualifying from the Pit Lane.GT Trophy Competitors that are positioned in PitGarages will be called forward into the Pit Lane <strong>by</strong>officials.All other competitors will be required in the AssemblyArea 20 minutes prior to their qualifying. On instructionfrom marshals, cars will proceed from the AssemblyArea into the Pit Lane.Please make yourself familiar with the location of theAssembly Area before your first practice session.15. RACE START PROCEDUREGT Trophy Competitors in Pit Garages will be calledforward from their garages <strong>by</strong> officials. Cars will leavethe Pit Lane and proceed via the circuit to the grid andmay be led <strong>by</strong> a Course Car. Once cars are in positionon the grid, the countdown will begin at the 1 minuteboard.Other competitors in the paddock will assemble in theAssembly Area. On instruction from officials, all cars willproceed directly to the grid. Once cars are in position onthe grid, the countdown will begin at the 1 minute board.16. GRIDSGrids will be in accordance with the track licence orRace Series Regulations.In ideal conditions the qualifying or racing programmemay be brought forward <strong>by</strong> up to 20 minutes andcompetitors should ensure that they are in their correctlocation in good time.17. COUNTDOWNSFor all races, the countdown will start at the 1 minutesignal unless Race Series Regulations specify a differentprocedure.18. SAFETY CARThe Clerk of the Course has the option to deploy aSafety Car for all qualifying and races. The Safety Carwill join the circuit from the Pit Lane exit and leave thecircuit <strong>by</strong> entering the Pit Lane. Safety Car regulationsare available at Race Admin<strong>is</strong>tration or as detailed inRace Series Regulations.19. LIVE SNATCHDuring all practice, qualifying and races, the Clerk of theCourse will have the option to carry out ‘live snatches’under local Yellow Flags20. END OF PRACTICE AND RACE PROCEDUREAt the end of each practice or race all cars must slowdown after taking the Chequered Flag and leave thecircuit <strong>by</strong> entering the Pit Lane and turning RIGHT intothe Parc Fermé just beyond Race Control.Winners will proceed on foot to the Podium forpresentations.All competitors will remain under Parc Fermé conditionsuntil adv<strong>is</strong>ed <strong>by</strong> the Scrutineers.For races of time duration the Chequered Flag will beshown to the race leader the first time he passes thefin<strong>is</strong>h line after the time has elapsed unless specifiedotherw<strong>is</strong>e in Championship Regulations.21. RED FLAGSAny category generating a Red Flag may be placed atthe end of the programme subject to time remainingavailable.22. RESULTSAll Practice Timesheets, Grids and Race Results aredeemed prov<strong>is</strong>ional until all vehicles are released <strong>by</strong>Scrutineers after Post Practice/Race Scrutineeringand/or after completion of any Judicial or TechnicalProcedures. They will remain prov<strong>is</strong>ional until declaredfinal in writing <strong>by</strong> the Clerk of the Course. Thedeclaration of results will be publ<strong>is</strong>hed on the noticeboard throughout the <strong>meeting</strong> and, at the latest, at theend of the <strong>meeting</strong> (subject to any outstanding judicialmatters).23. JUDGES OF FACTThe Judges of Fact will be the Judges, Timekeepers,Observers, Flag Marshals, Scrutineers & TechnicalComm<strong>is</strong>sioners.Starting Judges: To declare any false starts or otherinfringements.Fin<strong>is</strong>hing Judges: To declare the order in which thecars cross the fin<strong>is</strong>h line when the end of the race <strong>is</strong>given or the scheduled race d<strong>is</strong>tance <strong>is</strong> completed <strong>by</strong> thewinner.


Timekeepers: To declare the individual lap times andthe order in which the cars cross the timing linethroughout the competition.Flag Marshals: To declare any infringements of thesignals prescribed in Appendix H of the InternationalSporting Code.Scrutineers & Technical Comm<strong>is</strong>sion: To declare anyinfringement of Vehicle safety and eligibility.24. TimingAll competitors are required to use a AMB TranX 260either direct powered or battery transponder.Transponders can be purchased from TSL at www.tsltiming.comin advance of the <strong>meeting</strong>. Transponderswill be available for hire on the day from TSL.Competitors should supply the transponder number inadvance of the event to their respective Race SeriesCoordinator or to MSVR(gemma.mole@motorsportv<strong>is</strong>ion.co.uk).26. Special Circuit Noticesi) MSV & MSVR shall not be liable in the event ofdamage caused to vehicles being recovered from thetrack.ii) No photographic recording or similar equipment of anydescription shall be allowed onto the Venue withoutMSV’s written consent.iii) Pit lane: Children under the age 16 years old are notadmitted to the pit garages or pit lane.iv) No smoking <strong>is</strong> permitted in the Pit Lane.v) The use of fun bikes <strong>is</strong> not permitted unless towing atrailer for the purpose of transporting ancillary motor raceequipment. No competitor may ride motorcycles orcycles in the pit road at any time when the circuit <strong>is</strong>operational.
