ADMISSION TO THE CIRCUIT AND PADDOCK ARRANGEMENTSAll working vehicle parking will be under the instructions of the MSVR-BSB Paddock Parking crew, strictly inaccordance with the attached paddock plan. There will be no access to the paddock outside of the timesbelow. Please do not attempt to enter the paddock at other times without specific authorisation.All access is via the main entrance – please do not block or obstruct the public highway.Please note The Warwick Bridge was damaged during set up for last weekends’ Car Fest. A temporary tankerbridge, wide enough for articulated vehicles has been installed over the top of the existing bridge. However anyvehicles with ground clearance issues should contact the paddock manager IN ADVANCE for an escort froman alternative gate at a prearranged time.There is no private vehicle access to the working paddock. Only “Working Vehicle”, “Access All Areas” “LivingVehicle” or “Crew Vehicles” (limited access only) pass holders are permitted within the secure paddocks. ACCESS TO THE CIRCUIT AND PIT LANEPrior to practice periods/races, non garage holders should proceed via the route adjacent to the Pirelli tyrecompound beside garage #28 into the pitlane. Pedestrian access is via this route and also the gate betweenrace control and the Medical Centre.6. TO EXIT THE CIRCUIT6.1 After completing the slowing down lap all machines must enter the pit lane.6.2 The only exceptions are the machines of those riders involved in the finishing ceremony. The riders must stopon their machines at the podium area. Their machines must be taken to the parc ferme by a teammember.6.3 Teams/Riders must observe the parc ferme regulations. Failure to comply may mean exclusion from thatpractice session or the race.7. FLAGS AND LIGHTSThis circuit is equipped with LED digital lights which will be used in conjunction with flags – lights and flags havethe same validity.8. 9. START PROCEDUREThere will one sighting lap and ONE warm up lap for all classes EXCEPT Ducati 848 Challenge Sunday racewhich will have TWO warm up laps.The start signal will be the RED LIGHT going off.10. START PROCEDURE – SUPERBIKE & SUPERSPORTRiders positioned on the first four rows of the grid must remove their helmets from the time ofcompletion of the sighting lap to the display of the “3 Minutes” board for the purpose of TV gridinterviews. In the event of a wet or restarted race this will not be required.11. POST RACE PROCEDURES/PRESS CONFERENCESAt the end of each race the first three Riders will be directed to a special area (marked out 1 st – 2 nd – 3 rd ) for thepost race interviews and podium ceremony. One helper per rider only is permitted in this area.12. FUELShell <strong>Racing</strong> Solution will be available onsite from Thursday (15:00 – 20:00), Friday and Saturday (07.30 –12.00 & 13.00 – 18.00) and Sunday (08.00 – 15.00) adjacent to the technical area in the paddock. The resultsof the fuel testing by MSVR are a matter of fact. All fuel orders should be placed in advance of the event –order form can be found at www.msvracing.co.uk/bsb any problems call Kevin Garwood 07788 598715.As previously communicated all 2012 accounts must be settled prior to collection of fuel13. PIT LANE SPEED LIMITThe Pit Lane Speed Limit will be enforced with the use of a radar.The maximum speed is 60 kph.You will be warned for the first offence but any subsequent offences will be penalised.14. 17. FIRE PRECAUTIONSAll Teams must carry a suitable fire extinguisher in accordance with MCRCB Regulations. Random checks willbe carried out to ensure that this is complied with.18. SAFETY CARThe Safety Car will enter the circuit at pit lane exit.BSB Class - Due to the lap length, in the event of a safety car deployment after the two-thirds point,laps will not be added to the overall race distance.19. PIT EXIT – SPECIAL FLAG CONDITIONSDuring free and qualifying practices a stationary white flag may be displayed at the pit exit indicatingthat there are slow moving riders leaving the pit exit. Similarly riders leaving the pits may be shown ablue flag to indicate that faster riders are approaching. Riders leaving the pit and paddock must keep tothe side of the circuit that they exit and not deviate.The use of the waved white flag is retained to indicate any slow moving “non-competing” servicevehicle.20. TRANSPONDERS (RIDER/MOTORCYCLE IDENTIFICATION DEVICE)During all free and qualifying practices, warm up and the races, motorcycles must have fully workingtransponders attached. Any transgression of this may result in the rider being shown the black flag.21. BULLETINS AND REGULATION UPDATESVarious regulations have changed and a number of bulletins have been published to date and are available forview on www.msvracing.co.uk/bsb – copies will also be available from Race Administration22. SUPERBIKE/SUPERSPORT – TYRE REGULATIONSSUPERBIKE CLASSThe Official Supplier will supply each registered rider participating in thechampionship event, with tyres for each rider for each Championship Event.Teams will be confined to these selection volumes.Across the 2 x Free Practices and 1 x Qualifying Practice:Tyre use restricted to a total of 6 x fronts and 9 x rears, within this allocation a maximum of 3 DRYREAR tyres only may be used in the qualifying practice – (as per MCRCB regulation F3.1). Tyre stickersfor the 6 x fronts and 9 x rears will be allocated to each rider, and additionally 3 “Datatag Q” stickersper rider which must also be affixed to the 3 dry rear tyres used in the qualifying practice.For the warm up and the race(s), the number of tyres is unrestricted.A uniform tyre/wheel size will be adopted as per 2013 MCRCB Superbike regulations.<strong>Final</strong> <strong>Instructions</strong> v2 – Oulton Park 9.10.11 August 2013 – Page 5 of 8


SUPERSPORT CLASSThe Supplier will supply each registered rider participating the championship event, with tyres for eachrider for each Championship Event.Teams will be confined to these selection volumes.Across the 1 x Free Practices and 1 x Qualifying Practice:Tyre use restricted to: 3 x fronts and 5 x rears.For the warm up and the race(s), the number of tyres is unrestricted. Tyres must be a fully moulded typecarrying all size and sidewall marking of the tyres for commercial sale to the public. The depth of the tyre treadsmust be at least 2.5 mm over the entire tyre pattern width at a pre-race control. The tyres must have a positiveand negative tread of 96% positive and minimum 4% negative (land and sea ratio). The maximum distancefrom the external edge of the tyre to 50% of the tread elements is 35 mm.Uniform tyre/wheel rim sizes in order to reflect the production derived status of the class and to promote thebest practical and economic situation are adopted, see MCRCB Yearbook F4.3.WET weather tyres must be a fully moulded tyre. The use of hand cut tyres is not allowed.Controls: Stickers must be clearly fixed as per instructions issued by the Tyre Control Official. The tyre controller mayat any time declare that selected teams identical tyre products are exchanged before use.24. 2013 TYRE CONTROL• Applies to Superbike and Supersport for all free practice, qualifying, warm up and races for all front and reartyres.• Applies to Superstock 1000, Superstock 600 for all qualifying, warm up and races for all front and rear (dry)tyres.• Ducati 848 allocation maximum four (dry) tyres over the event. Combination: 2F + 2R or 1F + 3R.• TTC allocation is a maximum of two front + two rears for the qualifying practice, warm up and the races.Control is by means of numbered stickers.Practice (Superbike & Supersport only), qualifying and warm-up sessions.1. An envelope, with the relevant stickers in it, will be available for collection from race administration by eachteam/rider. Where a team runs 2 or more riders separate envelopes will be provided for each rider.2. The envelope will contain stickers for both the front and rear tyres, the FRONT stickers having WHITE numbersand the REAR having BLACK numbers.3. The stickers MUST be applied to the relevant tyre wall on the right hand side.4. The clear backing sheet MUST be removed after the sticker has been fixed on the tyre.5. It is not necessary to remove stickers from previous rounds.6. A tyre control area will operate at the pit exit and the rider must slow to walking pace to enable the team to confirmthat the correctly coloured stickers are in place on both tyres and no machine will be allowed to join the trackwithout them being in place. Failure to slow sufficiently to allow this check to be carried out will lead to the riderbeing black-flagged.7. Random checks will be carried out during each session, and in parc ferme, to confirm that the stickers used arethose that were allocated to that rider.Race1. All tyres purchased at the meeting for use in the race will have manufacturers markings that identify them to thetyre control team and Pirelli staff.2. Checks will be carried out both on the grid and in parc ferme to confirm that only tyres purchased at themeeting are used.Any questions must be referred to Tyre Control Official Andrew Bull or other members of the tyre control team.25. BSB TEAMS RADIOAll BSB class teams are mandated to utilise the BSB race control team radio facility. A listening radio must be collected from race administration prior to the first session. Radios can be purchased for£50 or loaned for the season by lodging a £50 deposit. Use of the radio is compulsory and messages/instructionspassed via this network are deemed a matter of fact.26. NO RESTART AFTER A CRASHAs per the 2013 MCRCB yearbook riders who fall from their machine are not permitted to continue in the practicesession or race until passed fit by a Medical Officer (Ground Post or Medical Centre) and the machine re-inspectedand cleared by Technical Control. Any infringement of this rule will result in the rider being disqualified from theremainder of the practice session or race and may result in further penalties.In the event of a practice or race being interrupted by a red flag, any crashed machines will be recovered andtaken to Technical Control and released to the Team for repair. Once the repaired machine has been re-inspectedand cleared by a Technical Official a rider may continue in the restarted practice or race. In the case of the secondpart of an interrupted race this only applies to riders classified in the result of the first part.Further comments:a) In the Superbike free practice one only, in the event of no fallers or technical retirements the session will rununinterrupted, save for red flag situations.b) If, five minutes before 50% point of the duration of the session there are machines that require recovering viathe circuit the Race Director will advise (via the timing screens and teams radio) that he will interrupt thesession by display of red flag at the 50% point. The machines will be then be recovered to Technical Controland the session restarted as soon as possible, lost time will not be added to the total session duration.c) If the session has been interrupted by the red flag prior to the 50% point in the session the session will not befurther interrupted by the method described in (b) above.27.
