in Philadelphia.
Jennifer Bell discovered her calling
in creating sustainable food systems at
Lafayette. She now works full time at the
College as garden manager and Metzgar
Environmental Project coordinator,
which is funded by the Andrew W.
Mellon Foundation (see photo online).
Jennifer manages the student farm,
which provides vegetables to the
dining halls and campus farm stand and
oversees Lafayette’s campus community

courses taught by professors Alan Childs,
James DeVault, James Ferri, Jennifer
Rossmann, Joshua Sanborn, Andy Smith,
and Lee Upton on such topics as the Russian
revolution, climate change, how to read a
film, and freeing the imagination through
creative writing, nanotechnology, and a
techno-cultural history of the automobile.
