Australia around March 1914 <strong>and</strong> arrived in Canada on 01 April 1914. The “Makura”<br />
belonged to the Union Steamship Co of New Zeal<strong>and</strong>.<br />

died 20 October 1916 at Invercargill Hospital. Cause of death was Pneumonia for 10<br />
days <strong>and</strong> Cardiac failure 3 days duration of illness as certified by I Woodhouse. <strong>Edward</strong><br />
was buried on 22 October 1916, at St Johns Cemetery Waikiwi by Church of Engl<strong>and</strong><br />
minister G FYNCH-CLINTON. He had dwelled in New Zeal<strong>and</strong> for 40 years (arrival 1876<br />
but was actually 1874) married aged 28 years to <strong>Margaret</strong> Isabelle LUESTRANGE who<br />
was deceased. His living issue was 2 females aged 36 <strong>and</strong> 31 years old. George W<br />
Fraser an Undertaker from Invercargill registered the death on 24 October 1916.<br />
