an intersecting double frame; within the outer frame, a repeated
foliage stamp; within the inner frame, ‘Maria hilf’ scrolls; see

and across the fore-edge. Strips from a twelfth-century German
liturgical manuscript visible in the binding. Size: 295 ¿ 210 ¿

Marginal annotations, extracting key words, in an early hand;
other marginal annotations, commenting on the text, and pointing

£oral stamp; on the upper cover, the inner rectangle is divided
by diagonal quintuple ¢llets into lozenge-shaped and triangular
compartments, with the same £oral stamp; on the lower cover,
the inner rectangle is divided by quintuple ¢llets into eight triangular
compartments, with the same £oral stamp. On the head and
tail of the spine diagonal triple ¢llets form lozenge-shaped compartments,
each with another small circular £oral stamp. Greenedged
leaves. Rebacked. Size: 345 ¿ 243 ¿ 112 mm. Size of
leaf: 335 ¿ 237 mm.
Marginal annotation in an early hand on [f9 r ]: ‘# hanc glossam
contra Iohannem Brecht’. Early numbering of the gatherings in

with pen-work decoration extending into the margin. Paragraph
