The CAT I and CAT II Golan 4x4 vehicles (See Figure 7) produced by PVI in North<br />
Charleston, SC was designed under the classification of a Tactical Wheeled <strong>Vehicle</strong> for<br />
ballistic protection. Although some CAT I PVI vehicles were purchased early in the<br />
<strong>MRAP</strong> program, additional vehicles will not be purchased. The vehicles from PVI were<br />
transferred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Customs Border and<br />
Protection (CBP).<br />

2.2.8 Textron Marine and Land Systems: XM1117 ASV<br />
The Textron Model XM1117 Armored Security <strong>Vehicle</strong> (ASV) (See Figure 8) are CAT I and<br />
CAT II light armored combat wheeled vehicles. The ASV is an Urban Patrol,<br />
Reconnaissance and Command and Control <strong>Vehicle</strong> already fielded to the USA. Although<br />
some XM1117’s were purchased early in the <strong>MRAP</strong> program, additional vehicles will not<br />
be purchased. The purchased test vehicles were returned to the vendor.<br />
