Women of WorthThis is a group run by women for women who have experiencedemotional difficulties and problems with mental health and well-being.We encourage mutual support, a sense of worth, acceptance andrespect for all group members, explore aspects of self awareness anddevelop a sense of acceptance of the self and others. This encouragesself-love, self-respect and self-worth. The aim is for members to becomemore self-reliant, live more independent lives and make healthy lifechoices. Women of Worth meets at Link Up premises on Mondays andThursdays 11am - 2pm.Contact: 01595 693313Family MediationFamily Mediation is a child-focused service, which helps familiesexperiencing relationships difficulties.This can be parents who have divorced /separated, it can involvegrandparents and other extended family members or a young personexperiencing relationships issues with his/her parent(s).Mediation provides a neutral and impartial place where families cantake time to hear each other, make future focused agreements andreduce conflict.Contact: 01595 743859/743989Community MediationThe Community Mediation Team –CAB – Shetland operates CommunityMediation locally. The service is free, confidential, independent andvoluntary. Any agency or individual can make referrals to CM.When contacted, mediators will approach any parties involved in thesame way; offering an opportunity to talk through their side of thestory. Mediators will then work with parties to establish how things canbe made better for all concerned.
