COLD INSULATED RATING ICONS
FXR’s Cold Insulated Scale is a standardized rating
system that indicates the thermal capacity and
warmth value of FXR jackets and pants.
Uninsulated
A value of “1” has no thermal insulation and is
suitable for mild climates or situations where
intensive perspiration occurs.
Insulated
Values of “10”, or numbers that are high in the red
zone, have extremely high thermal properties and
are able to withstand extreme temperatures, well
below -40°C/F and will keep you warm during
sedentary outdoor activities.

If the item is a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 (indicating it has a
removable liner), both the “SHELL” and “COMBO”
(combined) value of the shell and liner will be
displayed.
