DewateringvalveIntroductionWater in air pipelines present problems inaccelerated scaling of the pipes. Water particles(and scale) traveling at high velocities can causeserious damage to equipment.The Premier Dewatering Valve is an automatic bleedvalve designed to take water out of air pipelines.Connected to low points in the pipeline where waterwould accumulate, the water runs into the 2 litrecylinder. When the cylinder is full, an automaticdevice triggers the bleed valve to open, therebydraining the cylinder. The valve will close and thewhole cycle will start over again, automatically.In order to be more effective, Premier can supply aninline trap which has some “Baffle” plates to “knockout” the water present in the passing flow of air. Theattached drawing gives some typical sizes - othersizes are available on request. Please note thatwhilst operating there is a continuous bleed of air (ofnegligible volume) which has to take place in orderfor the unit to function properly.premier valves (Pty) LtdA - P.O.
