(Smeal), Snyder, NE -- $538,953.00. Followingdiscussion, Ell introduced a resolution to accept <strong>the</strong> proposal <strong>of</strong> Danko Emergency EquipmentCo./Smeal Fire Apparatus Co. at Snyder, Nebraska, for a new ladder truck (quintuple combinationpumper) for <strong>the</strong> West Point Fire Department in <strong>the</strong> amount <strong>of</strong> $538,953.00 <strong>and</strong> that <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> WestPoint <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> West Point Rural Fire Protection District shall equally split said cost <strong>and</strong> each own aone-half interest in said vehicle. Seconded by Paus. Resolution adopted..The <strong>Council</strong> considered <strong>the</strong> request from <strong>the</strong> West Point Optimists for a reduced rate for use<strong>of</strong> one-fourth <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Nielsen Community Center for a clothing drive. Moved by Grovijohn,seconded by Smidt, to reduce <strong>the</strong> rate for <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Nielsen Community Center by <strong>the</strong> WestPoint Optimists on November 17 th & 18 th from $100.00 per day to $50.00 per day. Motion carried.Next <strong>the</strong> <strong>Council</strong> considered a request from Earl Boston for <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> to waive <strong>the</strong> monthlyelectrical usage for entrance lights at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Earl Boston, representing <strong>the</strong> Mt. HopeCemetery Association, was present at <strong>the</strong> <strong>meeting</strong> <strong>and</strong> stated that at <strong>the</strong> east entrance <strong>of</strong> Mt. Hope
