Many of the menu commands can be accessed with special keystrokecombinations called "accelerator keys." For example, instead ofchoosing System Tester from the Tools menu, you could press theaccelerator key CTRL+T. If a command has an accelerator key, it is shownin the menu next to the command. Many menu items also have a picturedisplayed next to them. Choose this same icon from a toolbar to accessthe command without using the menus.To select a command using the menus1. Click the left mouse button once directly on the menu item (i.e., File,Edit, View, etc.).2. When the menu drops down, click once on the desired command.Using DialogsAfter you choose a command, a dialog often appears. A dialog is used toselect options pertaining to the command or feature. If an option in adialog is dimmed, this means the option is not available.Some dialogs provide various sets of options. These sets of options aredivided into tabbed pages. For example, the System Testing Optionsdialog has two tabs: Testing and Reporting.
