Locatedon the historic Annandale Plantation,you’ll find this course to be one of themost intertwined with nature you’llever see--with the occasional deer orturkey popping in to check out yourgame.Last Time OutThe Kansas City men’s golf teamclimbed two spots on the final day ofplay to finish eighth at the MemphisIntercollegiate at the Colonial CountryClub in Memphis, Tenn.Senior Korbin Kuehn led the ‘Roosin the event, carding a pair of birdiesin the final round to finish in a tie for17th, while freshman Antoine Roznerfired a final round 69, featuring sixbirdies, that tied for the third lowestround of the event and helped theParis, France native to a tie for 27th.Juniors Cole Chelle and NathanHughes each shot final round 75’s,the lowest round score for each in theevent, with each notching two birdies.Chelle’s round helped him to a tiefor 42nd, while Hughes placed in a tiefor 49th.Kuehn Named Summit LeagueGolfer of the WeekKansas City senior Korbin was namedthe Summit League Men’s Golfer ofthe Week for the sixth time in hiscareer after leading the Kangaroosat the Memphis Intercollegiate. Thesenior fired a 227 (79-75-73) at the54-hole tournament to finish in atie for 17th place. He led the teamin scoring for the fourth time thisseason and registered a 75.67 strokeaverage. The juniorcarded a 54-hole one-under parscore of 215 (71-73-71) for a strokeaverage of 71.67 on the week. Hehelped Kansas City to a fourth-placeteam finish with an 868. The Kangaroosfinished ahead of Air Force, Gonzaga,Minnesota and Kansas State atthe event. Thesenior fired a 54-hole 209 (68-70-71) to finish tied for fifth place andled the Kangaroos to a fourth placescore of 854, the fourth-lowest inschool history, at the Mark SimpsonInvitational. Kuehn recorded hissecond top-10 finish of the month atthe Jim Rivers Intercollegiate with ascore of 216 (70-73-73) placing in atie for ninth. Kuehn also carded a 217(71-71-75) at the Golfweek ProgramChallenge to start the season. Currently,Kuehn holds the fourth-lowestcareer scoring average in schoolhistory at 74.14.Summit League BestEntering the event, the Kansas Citymen’s golf team holds five of thetop 15 spots in scoring average inThe Summit League.
