5.2.3 Training will be imparted to the Welfare Officer Trainees for two years andDepartmental Test will be conducted every six months in four Phases i.e., Phase-I,II, III & IV. During this year, 46 In-housetraining programmes were conducted (other than in-house Workshops/Seminars andAMPs) covering 862 executives and 4 Trade Union representatives and N<strong>one</strong>xecutives.Details of the above are given in Annexure-VII.6.2 There is enthusiasm among some depts., to improve competencies of theirexecutives and staff. They have designed and conducted some programmes viz.,Purchase, Safety, Planning, Forestry and security Departments.6.3 In-house programmes were conducted with guest faculty from the followinginstitutes.a) Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabadb) Hindustan Academy of Law, Vizagc) Intellects Biz, Hyderabadd) Earth Resource Centre, Jodhpure) NPC, Hyderabadf) National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad.g) Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.h) Rangnekar Associates, Mumbai.i) Choda Leadership Centre, Hyderabad.7.0 External Training Programmes (In India):For 323 external programmes, 716 Executives & 943 Non-executives (Tradesmen,Supervisors and Medical Staff) were sponsored covering Workshops, Conventions,National & International Seminars, training Programmes and Exhibitions on variousrelevant subjects, to improve their knowledge, skill and exposure. Details are shownin Annexure-VIII.
8.0 Advanced Management Programme for senior executives:An In-house Advanced Management Training Programme (AMP) for Senior Executives isbeing conducted regularly every year at Nargundkar Institute of Management (NIM), RGfor developing managerial skills to meet the future challenges of our organization andthey are also assigned with project work during the period of programme on differentchallenging topics. Reputed guest faculty are being invited from Hyderabad. This year(2006-07), <strong>one</strong> programmes i.e., AMP-09 was organised at NIM/RG-II and twenty (20)senior executives from different disciplines have participated and the details are given inAnnexure-IX. Some sessions were conducted at Indian Institute of Management (IIM),Lucknow. Visits were arranged to the following institutions and world-class industriesduring the programme.i) Banaras Hindu University, (BHU), Varanasiii) M/s. Hindalco, Renusagariii) M/s. Hindalco Power Station at Renukoot.iv) M/s. Northern Coal Fields, Singrauli.9.0 Workshops & Seminars:These programmes are being organised with a duration of <strong>one</strong>/two days on somespecific topics by inviting expert faculty from other institutions and as well as internalfaculty for improving the knowledge of executives/supervisors of all disciplines withregard to latest developments in the respective fields for improving the productionand productivity.Seven (07) Workshops/Seminars were conducted in 2006-07 and the details aregiven in Annexure-X.10.0 Foreign Training Programmes:For 14 programmes, a total of Thirty seven (37) Executives and Five (5) NCWAemployees were sponsored to other countries (South Africa, UK, China, Germany,Japan, Sweden and USA during 2006-07) to attend International Conferences,Exhibitions, Short Term Courses and Technical visits connected to the MiningIndustry. Details are given in Annexure-XI.11.0 Computer Training Programmes:11.1 Basic Computer Training was imparted to the executives & non-executives in thefollowing subjects.a) Fundamentals of computers.b) MS-DOSc) MS Office-2000.d) Internet & e-mails.11.2 CGMs and GMs of Areas were delegated powers to impart the above training to theirexecutives and staff by engaging local institutes. HRD department has organised theabove training to the employees of corporate offices by engaging local institutes.11.3 Apart from the above, advanced training on Maintenance of Servers & Auto Cad weregiven to FMMC holders, Civil Engineers, Executives of IT, Exploration and Surveydisciplines in 2006-07.
