Inthis article we will explore some popular and entertaininggames online. Games and game sites listed and rated in thisarticle were rated by my own personal opinion, and they mayor may not interest everyone but I highly encourage you togive each game a try.A very popular game is Adventure Quest Worlds, a freegame which plays on your web browser. It was developed byArtix Entertainment in 2008. There is an optional membershipfor a reasonable price, especially for what all is offered. Inthis MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role PlayingGame) you play as the hero of Lore, fighting monsters with friends you meet along the way while fighting to level up and becomeeven more powerful! The plot of the game is that the player begins hunting down the 13 lords of chaos, a group controlled by theantagonist Drakath. The player may also choose to side with either King Alteon (Good) or Gravelyn (Evil).Each lord of chaos hastheir own unique Chaos Beast, team up with your friends to take down these monsters! Also, each player can purchase their own ingamehouse! Players with membership have a wider variety of houses to choose from but non-member players can purchase a smallcottage for an amount of gold. Instead of turn by turn fighting which is used in the previous games by Artix Entertainment, AQWorldsfeatures real time gameplay! There are numerous classes each with their own special abilities and your character is completelycustomizable with hair color, hair style, accessory color, base color, skin color, and eye color, plus the equipable helm, armor, cape,pet (members only), and weapon. This game is often shortened to AQWorlds to save time. AQWorlds has over 16 million registeredplay accounts! Also, AQWorlds celebrates its birthday every year usually with a special band or in-game event. This year the thirdbirthday event featured the band ‘They Might Be Giants’ in a special event with a new story, badges, and an exclusive class onlyavailable for one year. There are often live events featuring Voltaire, One-Eyed Doll, George Lowe, Paul and Storm, JonothanCoulton, the cast of Ctrl+Alt+Del, Ayi Jihu, ArcAttack, and Michael Sinterniklaas as the voice of Deady, a small stuffed bear featuredin one of the events. AQWorlds also celebrates each holiday and releases rare items near their dates, but there is a twist. AQWorldschanges some of the names to make them more atoned to the wonderful land of Lore. Their holidays include Mogloween (Halloween),Hero’s Heart Day (Valentine’s Day), Good Luck Day (St. Patrick’s Day), April Fool’s Day (a special prank is pulled every year onApril 1!), and of course Adventure Quest Worlds’ birthday. Adventure Quest Worlds is a casual MMO to play with friends and slowlyprogress but careful, once you start playing you may not be able to stop! I am rating this game five stars simply because you can playwith anyone in the world, the game never ends, there is always something else to do, there are so many maps, you can chat, it plays inyour web browser which means you don’t need to download anything andeverything is customizable by you.EpicDuel is another game created by Artix Entertainment. It is a playerversus player MMORPG in which you customize your character, choosefrom either mercenary, bounty hunter, or tech mage, and hunt for weaponsas you fight to survive! EpicDuel is Artix Entertainment’s sixth majorMMORPG. Players have the option of fighting in either 1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. 2matches. Each player hasa record and cancompletely create his orher own battle build,which affects battle statssuch as strength anddexterity. Also, afterreaching each level, aplayer gets a skill pointwhich they can use tounlock a skill specifically for the fighting group they chose at the beginning of thegame, or they can use the skill point to upgrade a skill they have previouslyunlocked. I am ranking this game as four stars because it is a fun game, you alsohave the chat function, your character is customizable, you can play around theworld, the game plays in your we browser which means no download necessary,and the game producers are always adding something new. However, the gamesometimes lags out and you may miss a turn which could prove to be fatal in thegameplay style.Artix the Paladin and Galanoth theDragonslayer demonstrate theDragonFable gameplay style.www.dragonfable.comDragonFable is Artix Entertainment’s second game released. Instead of having 2D background such as Adventure Quest,DragonFable has a 2.5D movement system. In DragonFable you can find, hatch and raise your own dragon which fight beside you asa pet or you can ride it as it fights large bosses! DragonFable also does not have a Server Cap like Adventure Quest, although it does
