Configuration Switches<strong>Messenger</strong> Nano radios are shipped from the factory with the following configuration:Primary communications port uses USB, secondary (diagnostic) port is RS-232/RS-485Transmit/Receive LED indicators show direct comm. port status, not radio transmitting statusRS-485 signals are disconnected from RJ-45 connectorIf any of these settings needs to be changed, the back cover of the radio should be gently removed with thesupplied screwdriver as shown below, carefully prying the cover over the latching tabs.Do not use the tab holes to push the tabs in. This will cause them to be damaged!This will expose four configuration DIP switches in the left hand corner as shown below.Switch UP (off) DOWN (on)1 Data is on RS-232/485 port, USB is Diag Data/Cfg is on USB port, RS-232/485 is Diag2 Tx/Rx LEDS show data port activity Tx/Rx LEDs from radio for link status3 & 4 RS-485 is not connected RS-485 connects to RJ-45Note: Factory settings shown in boldInstructions on how to use these switches are described in the Installation Section.Copyright © 2012 <strong>Industrial</strong> <strong>Control</strong> <strong>Links</strong>, Inc.
