8e. Zimbabwe - The fight against HIV / AIDS and providing motherand child care in ChipingeThe health structure in Zimbabwe remains extremely precarious. High mortality rates and anacute shortage of nursing staff. This is contrasted by an increasing percentage of HIV infectedpeople. The Chipinge area in particular is a poor and isolated area in the Manicaland province.Previously a cholera epidemic ravaged the region.
