They are usedfor applications where long bearinglives are required without maintenance,or where operating conditionslike inadequate or total absence oflubrication do not allow the use ofsteel-on-steel bearings. SKF maintenance-freebearings are produced withthree different sliding contact surfacecombinations, depending on bearingsize and series.
